This has been bugging me for a very long time.

If HPB is supposed to be Disney's version of Hollywood, why isn't there a sidewalk that has a walk of fame like the actual Hollywood?

But with the new changes to HPB in DCA's Expansion, and with it being themed to a 1930's Hollywood, any hopes for this is probably dashed by now.

I was thinking they could still do this even if it isn't going to be based on a 50's Hollywood (the walk of fame began to be built in 1958)

It would start with Walt Disney, then Imagineers, then the important people in the Company (except Michael Eisner )

What do you think?

Because they never went for Hollywoodland. They went for Backlot which doesn't have that sort of thing.

Plus, there isn't the Chinese Theater that has always been such an integral backdrop for these reveals. They have it in Florida, but until they transform the Backlot into a true time capsule of Hollywood, it wouldn't fit right.

Here's what's missing from HPB: everything they removed from it!

Millionaire Play It!, Hollywood and Dine, Soap Opera Bistro. The land needs more restaurants. Award Weiners isn't enough! Add in another small dark ride and the land is good to go.

Omg! Mickey-shaped heads with all the famous Disney people ever on them, including characters such as Pluto, Goofy, etc. And maybe some important people who worked for Walt Disney! :]

Well, if the stars at the 15 min lot on Harbor are of any indication, then the design is probably limited to who can use it. Anahiem probably got permsission from Hollywood to replicate it.

I could see Disney getting around it if the stars were mickey mouse shaped.

As fun as this would be, what purpose would it serve? The Disney Company already has their "LEGENDS" plaques that grace the Disney Studios. The windows on Main Street pay their respects to the people who have contributed to Disneyland in big ways. Should these "mickey mouse stars" be the same for DCA?

Then I guess Eisner and Pressler and Sklar can get the first three.

Well, in a way, the mickey mouse stars don't have to serve the same purpose as the windows at Main Street. Wayne Allwine that voiced Mickey Mouse should be posthumously awarded a star since he's been Mickey's voice until his death.

This area is in desperate need of more Hollywood like designs and aspects. The walk of fame would be great, but instead of Disney execs they should just have Disney characters. Most people won't know the execs anyway. It definitely needs a restaurant back where the old closed one stands next to Monsters, and the Millionaire building needs to be an attraction instead of a corporate sellout (like how they screwed over the festival arena in Frontierland. Also, the stage where that (godawful) Drawn to the Magic show is performed, needs to be a dance club area at night, similar to Club Buzz. Hollywood comes to life at night, that's what this area is missing. Also, more classic characters, not Pixar! Animation building is great, but the interior shows need to have something more behind the scenes based. Animation Academy is okay, but Crush??? Why is that there? It's sad because so far it seems like nothing is happening to this area and it really needs some help.

Also I agree about that Drawn show. Stupid.
I see may 10 ppl watch it.
TOT was thrown to the back (like milk in the grocery store) to make you walk the street and hope you visit stuff that ordinarily would walk past and not take the time to see.

Yeah, I would love for it to get some attention. I really miss that themed food court back there too. But you know, I didn't mind Superstar Limo either. And I really loved the Soap Opera Bistro.

Remember when it really was a more adult park? I liked that, but I was in the minority.....so now it's tooned out. Kids rule and kids want toons I guess.
