  • [Question] Disneyland on Halloween Night

Has anyone ever visited Disneyland or California Adventures on actual Halloween night 10/31?
Thinking of going and just wondering what I can expect.
Do they do any sort of trick-or-treating?
Do people dress up in costumes?

    Thanks for any insight!

They have Mickey's Trick - Or Treat Party over in DCA. Other then that, nothing else.

what Dan said , i did it a few years back and it was great fun. Lot's of kids (because it's really for them anyway) but also lot's of adults dressed up.

They have Mickey's Trick or Treat Party at DCA, but its a separate ticketed event, and you can't get into DCA after 7:30 PM that night without a ticket.

Children under 9 I think it is are allowed to dress in costume and go into Disneyland or DCA. However, adults in costume can only go into DCA during the Trick or Treat event. They are not allowed into Disneyland at any time.

You can expect to see many Christmas decorations up around NOS. I never understood why they commit to Halloweentime and yet don't actually commit through the actual holiday.

I went to DCA last year for Mickey's Trick or Treat party on Halloween and we had lots of fun. Not as good as WDW's Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We dressed up and I would say most of the crowd did too. It wasn't really busy either. The only thing I remember being pretty busy were the lines for photos with the characters.
The trick or treating is ok, just going to certain spots and going through doors to get treats. Nothing too exciting but we still had a great time. At the end of the night there was a character cavalcade. It was short but cute.
