  • [Question] One Day in Disneyland

Hi, all. You'll have probably written about this before, but I'm taking advantage of the birthday promo Sat. 10/3. I plan to ride as many rides I can from openning to closing. What should bring in the park to keep from falling apart?

I say just don't try to rush it too much. Be sure to take time to breathe and have fun. If you want to save time(and money!), bring food. At bag check, they don't care as long as you don't bring loaves of bread, jars of mustard, etc. Pretty much, make everything at home or in the car. But i'd bring peanut butter & jelly or something, so you can eat in line. If you want to eat Disneyland food, I'd get something you can eat fast or in line, like a Corn Dog from the cart in Main Street. Also, take advantage of the fast pass and single rider system. Get a fastpass for Roger Rabbit(Because its wired seperately, so you can still get another fastpass) and another ride. I wouldn't get the other FP for Indiana Jones Adventure, use the single rider option. It goes through the FastPass line, so a FP would be pointless there if your by yourself. I'd get it for something like Space or Splash, which often have long lines. If you come early, head to Fantasyland, and go on Peter Pan. That line has no FastPass, and it gets long. Other than that, the other lines are often reasonable. Remember to take advantage of FastPass, as soon as you can get another one, get one. Also, if you like roger rabbit, I'd get another one just for another free quick ride, since the fastpass won't count as getting one at the same time as another, it only keeps you from getting another Roger one before it expires. Also, I'd go to Nemo or Matterhorn in the morning, they can get packed. I'd go to Nemo before Matterhorn, because Nemo can be long waiting for another sub, while Matterhorn looks like a nightmare line, but moves incredibly fast. I wouldn't waste fastpass on Big Thunder Mountain, it's often short, and moves fast, even if the line looks long. The trains are long and hold a lot of people, and there's usually a good amount running to keep the line moving quickly. Other than that, just remember to really have fun! Don't rush it too much, because you don't wnat to feel overwhelmed.

Bring some water and protein or granola bars.

Don't bring anything but a wallet and your car keys.

Depending on how well you know the park, you might want to invest $15 in the Ridemax software to help you get a feel for how to maximize the number of rides you get on during the day. Or read the MiceChat Fastpass thread at least.

Bring water, food (granola/protein bars, fruit snacks, and PBJ), and your best sneakers.

Dont rush and map everything out. Do those you really want to first and dont forget about ToT, Soarin', GRR and Scraemin' if you like those, and get there early to beat the crowds!

Good luck! Oh and use fastpass!

              Funny!

I'm also planning on going to DL that day.
You need to read this to last the whole day... Don't need to worry about So Cal APer's they are blocked out. First have breakfast either at home or at DL. Highly Recommend at 8 a.m. head to Peter Pan's Flight and go on all the other Fantasyland attractions. The lines in the morning are usually short. For snacks take granola bars, fruit and water bottles. I usually eat lunch and dinner at DL. The only thing that keeps me up until midnight is soda and sugar snacks. Highly Recommended fastpasses for Space Mountain, Indy, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain & Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters.
