  • [Idea] List your ideal one-day visit

Say you were taking someone who had never been to any Disney park before. If you had one long day (9 am to midnight) what would you take them to see and do, in the order you would do them? What rides/attractions? What shows/parades/fireworks and where? You can include DCA features if you want. Include meals and where you would eat. I'm assuming that 15 rides is the realistic maximum for one day. Put all this in the order you would do it.

I'd take them to Peter Pan, then probably Nemo, then Matterhorn, Space Mountain, then Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, Big Thunder mountain, some more fantasyland rides(liek alice), it's a small world, and if there was still time, I'd probably go on some of the best ones again, like Thunder Mountain. I'd also have to take them on Toy Story Midway Mania. I love that ride! For lunch, we'd probably go to Taste Pilot's Grill. Yum! And for dinner, we'd probably wait to see Magical, and get a ginormous corn dog while we wait. after, or if there's still time while waiting for magical, I'd probably get gibson girl ice cream. I get the cookie sundae, and replace the vanilla ice cream with chocolate! (I'm a choco-holic)

      No fast passes?

I'd probably need fastpasses for stuff like Space or Indy, and I'd get a fastpass for Roger Rabbit, too, since its wired seperately. Even if I hated the ride, I'd get a fastpass for it just cause I can, haha.

This is pretty much what my Dad and I did back in August. It was pretty ideal for our purposes:

Get Indy FP, ride HM, ride POTC, ride Indy, ride JC, ride BTMRR, get Space FP, ride Roger Rabbit, ride IASW, go through the Sleeping Beauty castle walkthrough, ride Star Tours, ride Space, eat early (11:30AM) lunch at Bengal BBQ, hop over to DCA, get Soarin' FP, check out Blue Sky Cellar, see Aladdin, ride Soarin (though we didn't get to), hop back over to DL, ride Peter Pan with reentry pass from broken down Soarin lol, ride the Matterhorn, shop, eat dinner at Blue Bayou, hop back over to DCA, watch DEP, hop back over to DL, and catch Magical! while being directed by Guest Control [caught the whole show while walking, including the finale just as we crossed in front of the castle], ride the HM 3 more times in a row, and call it a night!

Ideally, though, we would've ridden more FL rides (I really wanted to ride Alice or Toad!), and had dinner at Club 33 a girl can dream, right? Also, we would've actually gotten to ride Soarin, instead of it being broken down.

edit: Added the Sleeping Beauty castle walk through

No line at all at HM so you could ride it 3 times in a row?

Yep, right after fireworks, I got into a Stretching Room just before it closed, then walked right on again and again. (My dad didn't ride with me for these)

edit: I didn't stay on the ride, if that's what you mean, I walked right into the stretching room 2 more times after getting off the ride.

That seems reasonable and realistic - except wouldn't you want Buzz and Space Mtn. to be closer together to save walking?

Yeah, I suppose you're right. I guess put Space right after Buzz(or maybe right before it).
