Can't we get better burger's in the park? I'm not very fond of the dry hockey pucks that are served inside DL and DCA. Why is it so hard? Does anyone know?

Because Disney can charge whatever they want for something and people will but it. If they're charging $8.50 they're gonna make more of a profit off a hockey puck that costs $.30 than a real cut of beef, so they do that. The guest doesn't mean much to them outside of their wallets.

I have no idea. They can get decent burgers in WDW.Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Re: Can't we get a better burger?
They're gross. I like most food in the park, but the burgers are VERY sub-average. If really wanted a burger while I was at the park, I would leave the park and go to Red Robin, or go to Johnny Rocket's at Gardenwalk, or something like that. It's really just not worth it in the parks. And there are so many other good options in the park, even for picky eaters, that I don't know why anyone would want to waste DLR food money on a burger anyway, even if it WAS average!
Also, once in the park with my then-boyfriend, he insisted on buying a burger against my advice. He was throwing up all night, and it must've been something in the burger itself because me and my friend shared his fries, and we shared all our other food in the park that day. Once I witness someone get food poisoning from a specific product, I have a hard time considering eating it again myself!

Also it's 2009, you should be able to get a turkey burger or veggie burger somewhere on resort property.
I figure the cheap food is so overpriced, I'd rather fork over a little more and eat in a table service restaurant like Storytellers and get something a little more decent.

But for $.99, Disney will sell you two slices of soggy tomato to moisten 'em.

Re: Can't we get a better burger?
Screw the burgers, get the soft tacos at Zocolo or Cucomunga, or the clam chowder at French Market.
I haven't even bothered with the burgers. If you really want a burger I think you have to leave the park.Disney FAQ#275: What is DCA?
DCA stands for Disney Construction Area. All the Cast Members are themed with hard hats and steel toed boots.

Hard to believe, but the burger you get today at Disneyland is light years better than what used to be served. Considering the modest hamburger was supposedly one of Walt's favorite eats, you would think they would serve up a better one.
It'll set you back about 15 bucks, but The Jazz Bakery does have an edible 'Filet Mignon' burger.First Visit at the age of 12, July 17, 1968.First Ride, The Disneyland and Santa Fe Railroad.BRING BACK THE PEOPLE MOVER!

And Johnny Rockets and Fire + Ice also have great burgers at Anaheim Garden Walk... Plus you can get Turkey as a substitute!

Re: Can't we get a better burger?
If you think that the burgers are scary, don't eat the gelatin deserts at any of the sit-down eateries. A friend's step-dad used to work night-crew in the park and (according to my friend) the gelatin doesn't dissolve very easily, even with hot water. Mystery gelatin is just spooky.
As for the burgers, I tend to stay away from them and get the chicken sandwiches, instead. It's been a couple of years since I've been to DLR, but IIRC, the chicken sandwich wasn't bad last time I had one there. I think I got it in FantasyLand.Dead Mice Tell No Tails!
