My apologies if this point has been brought up already in one of the Star Tours II threads...
Star Tours site EndorExpress.Net has brought up a very interesting point about the upcoming attraction. If you look at the full-resolution preview image of Star Tours II, you'll notice that the craft it features is not the Star Speeder 3000 we know and (perhaps) love...

It's the Star Speeder 1000. At first, this confused me- if this is the new Star Tours why would we be seeing an older generation of Star Speeder?
But of course, when you think about it, this makes sense. Without getting too Star Wars geek on everyone (and I'm not a good authority on such matters anyway), we can place Star Tours I in the era of the original Star Wars trilogy (IV-V) because of the presence of the Death Star, rebel fighters, etc.
But the footage we've seen of the Podracing sequence- corroborated by the Star Speeder markings- implies that this adventure is taking place in the era of Phantom Menance, some decades earlier.
But on the other hand we have reports of Boba Fett and other original-trilogy-era characters being featured in some adventures. If this be the case, how will Disney make sense out of the fact that certain rides will be taking place in different time periods than others? What time does this place the Star Port of Star Tours in?
