I saw that Lucky was at D23. I thought he was supposed to call DCA his home but I have never seen him. Any news about seeing lucky in the parks???

Re: Lucky the Dino
Because they're remote-controlled, somewhat autonomous Audio Animatronic figures, they might be dangerous. They must weigh a ton or so, and if a radio connection went haywire they could seriously injure a guest. At least, that's the story I hear most often when asked why they aren't regular attractions.MiceChat from Main Street.MiceChat goes mobile with the Mouseaddict app for iPhone and iPad! I've always thought that he was originally in DAK because of Dinoland. How does he fit in DCA?

Re: Lucky the Dino
He doesn't really "Fit" in DCA. He would come out of a tent set up near the old dinner near the back corner and walk around the streets then go back into his "cave". I never got to see him there but did finally get to see him at D23 and he is awesome. BTW he is not really "free roaming". He has a driver and operator hidden in that cart that he "pulls". He controls the forward and backward movement plus Lucky's body and head/neck movements. I think he also provided Lucky's "Voice".Peter Pan Forever!!! I Will Never Grow Up.

I really don't know what the actual reason is why they haven't decided in a permanent location. All I can guess is that they are too technologically intensive to be able to be used in a consistent basis.

Re: Lucky the Dino
At the D23 convention, they were very specific in where they had people stand next to Wall-E, and what parts of him they could touch. He may be sturdy, but he's probably easily broken if you were to say, lean with your hand on his head. Lucky the Dinosaur, however, you could touch and pet, and there really weren't any pinch points to be concerned about.
