[Chat] Early Entry, vet move or got lucky??

2 Questions regarding early entry:

Sunday Morning, they had the signs along the top of the entry some say Morning Magic and some say Exit. All of the morning magic were in that bank of gates 2nd from the end (towards Downtown Disney).

Lines were probably 20-30 deep, 4-6 wide, etc...

Then a small crowd gathered at one of the exit signs to the right of us, they were standing there a long time and I felt like hollaring that it was an exit sign, and then people walking up from the Harbor Blvd sign, start to see a small line of people there, so they jump in line. Come time to open the gates, all of a sudden that exit turned to entry and they were in first.

Is this one of those "insider" knowledge moves or did it just work out for them?

Also, what percentage of entrants do you think get in on early entry. I remember a trip a while back when Nemo was still pretty new, and we were among the first in on the "regular-non early" entry and the line was already an hour +

I do that all the time, but from a place in the regular line closest to the Magic Morning gate. it doesn't always become an entry gate, but when it does, it'll clearly save you a few extra minutes.

It's the APs, they know the drill. The "Early Entry" gates remain Early Entry until park opening, and they change it. As soon as it is changed, the APs, quickly line up.

tt that is exactly where they did it, the first gate at the next bank of entry gates to the right of the early entry area. The sign said exit as we walked past it to get in line, then people started lining up there even though it still said exit. When our gate opened so did it, and it still said EXIT.
