As of Sunday, there were none of the outside decorations up on HM and of course it was still behind the temporary walls. I know they move fast, but I'm thinking they are probably not going to have it available early.

I'm betting most of the outside decorations on Mansion magically appear overnight.

In years past, the HM Holiday has never opened early.
It always open on Friday
That's why the lines are always so long for a few weeks

With Halloween officially kicking off on Sept 25
I doubt you'll get a soft opening for Space Mtn either.

These accusations really get on my nerves. You never know the situation of the person. I was accused of being impatient when asking a question a while ago and had to explain that I wasn't an AP and would only be there on the specific day. There might be different reasons for other people.

Anyway, I don't think they would soft open an overlay, since it doesn't take long to put together, plus it doesn't really have an official opening, does it?

Sept 25 is the official opening (it the official kick off of the Halloween Season at Disneyland)

Haunted Mansion actually soft opened last year a day or two before the official date so was just curious about that, my intentions were technically not clear until after that post, was a little rude but I personally just shrug that stuff off.

Well, excuuuuse me!

I'm merely stating that sometimes you just gotta be patient, it'll open when it opens! What's wrong with waiting? That's what I have to do! (I don't have the luxury of an AP). I don't usually count on soft openings all the time; I've had a few situations where something didn't open even a day or two early and I'd get disappointed. From then on, I just wait till it opens on it's scheduled date to save myself the frustration.

Sorry if I came off as "rude", even though that wasn't my intent...

Oh, and "used to be a very valuable member"? When did I start going downhill? Most of my recent posts have actually been polite! If I'm not considered valuable anymore, I guess I should stop posting my insider info for you all. You can just forget about the juicy details I was about to spill on the new Tomorrowland and other projects...

HM is a different story b/c it has the Halloween/Christmas storyline.

Be nice if it (Space Mtn overlay) stuck around so when I visit at the end of Nov I can see it.

Yeah I wouldn't bet on it being open late November if the date is November 1.

However what might happen is Ghost Galaxy getting awesome reviews and forcing Disneyland to keep it open a little longer. If anything that might happen. But I wouldn't bet on that either. haha.

No soft open for Mansion or Space. Space will be testing throughout the week, but without day guests.
Mansion doesn't require testing for the overlay anymore.
