So, I can't find any info about this on Yesterland, but I recall there being all sorts of silly outdated dioramas on the Disneyland Railroad with an extremely old narration. My last two trips, March 09 and May 08, it was completely dark and there was no narration on the entire trip. Was this taken out and if so, when? Will they make use of it again or refurb?

Just went last Friday, and they're still there.
IMHO, the Grand Canyon is a little outdated, albeit charming, but the Primeval World still rocks!"Happy Working Song" parody for DCA remodel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-TYESfNTP8&feature=plcp

Re: What happened to the "diorama" scenes on the railroad?
There have always been two dioramas - the Grand Canyon and Primeval World - and they're still here to this day.You just have to ride the train from Tomorrowland to Main Street. As Alex said, it's possible that they were being refurbed during your visits.

I'm not sure if you mean artificial intelligence or audio animatronics. If you mean the latter, Grand Canyon's animals are non-moving taxidermy figures (according to an old Official Guide to Disneyland) but Primeval World has some awesome animatronic figures, including the huge t-rex and stegosaurus at the end."Happy Working Song" parody for DCA remodel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-TYESfNTP8&feature=plcp

Re: What happened to the "diorama" scenes on the railroad?
There's also a mountain lion in the Gd Cyn section, which I belive is still the world's largest handpainted mural/backdrop or something along those lines. Paris has the canyon only, which seems quite incomplete without the PW. The lava effect is so simple yet so effective.

Re: What happened to the "diorama" scenes on the railroad?
It seems like there may have been more before, since there are such huge gaps of darkness. I remember taking the train around the entire park and not having that many large black gaps.DLR/DCA: x11:

They should put that back, or put some sort of jungle animal there to make you feel like you're going through Adventureland."Happy Working Song" parody for DCA remodel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-TYESfNTP8&feature=plcp
