  • Blue Bayou reservations? Never been but planning something for X-Mas.

Hi everyone! Quick question that I would appreciate your help with.

The husband and I are taking my parents to DL on Christmas Eve. (It's gonna be packed, but that's OK. We mostly want to take them for the ambiance and the fireworks with the snow at the end.)

We want to have an early dinner at the Blue Bayou, maybe around 3 or 4pm.

How do you make a reservation there? Can you make one this far in advance? Probably not, but just asking. I'm guessing reservations are taken every day, or something like that.

Anyway, any suggestions or help with these questions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!!!!

We were there last week, and we tried to get reservations too late!!! I don't know how early you can get reservations, but don't wait too long. The Blue Bayou is always a favorite, and it was a real disappointment not being able to eat there this trip! I think you can get priority seating by calling (714)781-3463.

First you need to check the hours available for dinner in December. I think lunch is served 11:30 - 3:40, and dinner service starts at 4pm. Then you'll need to call Disney Dining (714-781-DINE) first thing in the morning 60 days ahead to make reservations! You'll want to stay on top as there are probably others wanting Christmas Eve dinner as well. Good Luck and have a great time!

You can get priority seating, not quite a reservation but a close as you can get. Up to 60 days in advance call 1(714)781-DINE. We did it last year for Blue Bayou we had to wait about 20 minutes after our seating time but we got right next to the water. It beats waiting all day, which is the alternative.

I'd get on the phone at 8 a.m. 60 days before December 24 and try to get the latest lunch seating. The lunch prices are soooo much lower than the dinner prices. And it'll be dark and feel like dinner and you'll be so full all you'll want later is a snack from the bakery on Main Street while you watch the fireworks and snow.

            Sounds dreamy. I wanna go!

Stink's got the scoop. That's what we do. Eat late in the day, consider it dinner and then snack on churro's in the evening. Try October 24th or so. I might even try on the 23rd...just in case.

Good luck and have a GREAT trip!

I couldn't believe that Saturday was completely filled up on Friday last weekend.

It's a real bother, I wish they'd not lock it completely and allow some walk up space to occur at the Blue Bayou. Disneyland needs some more restaurants of this caliber.

We tried the new Rancho de Zocalo. It's probably the best deal and quality, outside of the Blue Bayou, in the whole park. We'll definitely make Zocalo a must in the future we enjoyed it so much. Reminded us of the quality of most of the restaurants at Epcot.
