News Pixie Hollow Makeover

Pixie Hollow will be getting a new overlay for the upcoming release of the new Tinker Bell movie. Pixie Hollow will be infused with fall color that willl last all year long until the next movie comes out. When the next movie comes out next year it will be infused with a winter overlay that will last for a year.

Hubby did the walk thru yesterday with the big wigs and has the job and priviledge to design and add the color...Let the magic begin....

Unfortunately, it would probably be way too much work to repaint the foliage three or four times a year. Still, it's nice that they're changing it up.

The first one is based on Spring. The upcoming one is in Fall and the third one is Summer with the fourth being Winter. There is a 4th and will involve all 4 seasons.

If I recall correctly from the movie, in Pixie Hollow they have each season year-round in different sections. An area where it's always Spring, an area where it's always Winter, etc. where they prepare things for our changing seasons, so it would make sense for DL's Pixie Hollow to have the same season all year too.

Technically you're right. Now it could be a plot twist in the movie but I believe Tink permanently lives in "Spring" so her home actually shouldn't have a seasonal change because in Pixie Hollow each "land" is stuck in a permanent season.

However on a personal note I'd actually welcome a Spring/Summer overlay (like it is currently) A fall overlay (matched with the Halloweentime promotional) and a Winter overlay (matched with the Holiday promotional). I realize that the initial setup of each would be labor intensive. However over time I am confident the switches would become better and more efficient (see HMH as an example).

That's cool...I'm just kinda surprised that a fairly new meet and greet area is getting all of these refurbs so suddenly...when I see a bunch of AAs scattered throughout the park to be missing or needing some TLC, and in some places it seems like Disney is saying it's never coming back.

I thought a Tinkerbell attraction was being considered? Man, Disney is in Tinkerbell overload!
