Just wondering, can kids come to the MiceChat meets every Sunday? And also, what happens at the meets?

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
Everyone is welcome to MC meets, regardless of age.
Last time I went to a meet was in 2005 but I'm sure it is still the same. Everyone meets at the hub and you spend some time there talking and introducing yourself to others. Then you either join the group for something to eat or maybe smaller groups break off. It is fun though. I would recommend it.

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
I've taken my kids to COUNTLESS meets, it's totally fine.
Basically at the meet, we just ... well, meet. Stand around, talk for a bit, catch up with old and new friends and then the group will go to lunch and possibly ride some rides.
Sometimes the group splits off into smaller groups of friends that have known each other longer, sometimes the entire group stays together. No two meets are the same.
Come, bring your kids, have a great time.

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
^ What they said!
We welcome all at the meets! Adults, kids, kids with adults...
Usually we spend around 30 minutes or so just hanging out, chatting... then lunch is proposed. You can join a group going to lunch (sometimes depending on the size of group there might be multiple lunch sites), or you can continue to do your own thing. Usually after lunch there are group rides where everyone stays together for a bit and rides something like Pirates together... its great fun on the real busy days when the CM asks how many in the group to say something like.... 80.
But every week is different. Some weeks there are a lot of people there, sometimes only a handful. But there is always a meet every Sunday at noon! Don't be afraid!!!

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
Why would you think kids are NOT welcome?! It's DISNEYLAND!!!I can't wait for my first meet (November). I'll bring my whole family so watch out! If a MC member was hesitant about children coming to Disneyland (for a meet or not), I'd really second-guess their validity as a member.

We do have a pretty active group of teens that hangs out together, too. I'd contact MonstersGoBoo, as she's really involved with that part of the the MC community. :ap: There's a whole Teen Scene area here as well. Welcome, and have fun!A signature should go here.

Aloha! MC Meets are SO much fun. You meet wonderful people who love the same thing you do... Disney! Please don't be afraid to stop by and say hello!
I'll be there this upcoming Sunday, and possibly for the Single Riders Meet which will be at 2:30 right after the usual Sunday meet. Hope to see you there.Last edited by MonstersGoBoo!; 09-25-2009, 10:28 PM.

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
okay, i got a lil scared for a second thinking it was a "singles meet". hahaha.
this sounds like something right up my alley since my boyfriend and friends are all sick of me and my crazy disneyland obession, i really hate going by myself, but i do do it. so when is this meet and is it every week??

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
This is a great thread. In the short time I've hung around MC, I've heard of the Sunday meets at noon, and figured I'd go and see just what it actually is, now I have a much better understanding.
My next trip is planned for the first or second week in December, it'll be me, my 15 year old daughter, and 3 of her friends. Usually we drive down on Saturday, stay at the Desert Inn, watch the fireworks from the hotel roof, then go to DL on Sunday. We'll likely go to Universal on Monday, DL on Tuesday, and drive home on Wednesday.
I can hardly wait to meet the MC gang. This is a really good group around here, it'll sure be nice to see some of you in person. It's hard telling if the girls would be interested or not, usually by noon they'd rather be off by themselves than hanging around with dad. lol.
Sure sounds like fun to me though!

Re: Kids at MC Meet?
I am excited to check out a meeting too!
My Oct trip won't include a Sunday but my November birthday trip will.
I am not sure that my husband and the other couple we are going with would be interested, but there are plenty of other things to occupy their time while I check out the meeting.
