I know the Muppets are part of the 2010 theme, but my question is, when will they announce?

Next year (allegedly) will be free admission after you do some community service to a Disney approved charity.

Re: 2010 Theme
I hope they do this, I have had the disney volutears help out in my neiborhood and thing that disney does like that is really awsome. I have a pass, but would still give me more reason to look into voluteering, and hopefully make it easy to find organizations in the area that need help.

Re: 2010 Theme
I think volunteer hours in exchange for a free ticket is a great idea! Even if someone is just volunteering to get a free ticket, stuff is still getting done. I have an AP, but I'd love to have a free ticket in order to bring a friend! It's a win-win!

Re: 2010 Theme
volunteer hours is a great idea.
even though some people may think "why force someone to volunteer when it should just be as the word, itself, explains: voluntary?"
but even if someone is doing volunteer work JUST to get into the park, i'm sure more often than not, those people may feel the warm fuzziness of helping out their community and may do more voluntary work in the future.-plagued

Re: 2010 Theme
There are several thoughts as to what the initial promotional "theme"
may be in 2010 that will pertain to the Disneyland Resort.
The first being the obvious.
2010 will mark Disneyland's 55th year of operation
and existence. This promotion has already been entitled as
"The Happiest Memories on Earth".
The second, will involve the Muppets.
Stated to promote engagements for
the resort within the coming year.
And third, the proposition already mentioned in the thread,
is the free admission into the theme park in exhange
of voulunteer community service from a Disney approved
and sponsored charity.
As of now, it is not fully known if these promotions
will be seperate ones of their own or if these will
coincide with one another.
However, it has been reported that the chairman of
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Jay Rasulo will make an annoucement
regarding next year's official promotion tomorrow.

JR already needs to far far away, and without a REAL daytime parade in DL two years in a row, there will be several more people that will be added to "go far far away" list.Critter Country's a mess ev'r since the Country Bears were kicked out.
