How is Disneyland during Halloween time dealing with crowds on a Saturday? It's not as packed as a Summer day is it? I will going the 2nd or 3rd weekend of October! No events going on those weekends I believe but I was still curious to hear peoples experiences! Thanks !

Re: Disneyland Busy this time of year? October?
I was there yesterday, and the crowds were great, aside from Main Street for the Fireworks, Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain (which have understandably longer waits). Main Street was almost completely full an hour before the show started, so I would recommend getting a spot early.
Other than that- things were nice and easy. 10 minutes Pirates; 15 minutes Big Thunder; 15 minutes small world; 30 minutes Roger Rabbit; usual wait times for the Fantasyland rides; Buzz 15-20 minutes every time I went by, same with Star Tours. Really, things were pretty good, considering it's opening weekend for the Halloween events.
Either way- have fun! And welcome to MiceChat!

I was surprised at how crowded it was last Thursday (Sept. 24). A weekday, in late September, it was hot (94 degrees for the high), closing time 8 p.m., no Fantasmic, no fireworks, Haunted Mansion closed, Space Mountain closed... yet in spite of all those it was still packed in the afternoon. Morning was pretty good though.

Well, you won't have to worry about no fireworks (pending weather), closed HM, or closed SM like Bob was stating above since those are all open for Halloween time.
The only reason the crowds might be a little bit bigger than your average weekend in October is Gay Days. It should be nice though, not too crowded at all. The weather will probably be warm, but not Arizona warm ;-)
Edit: Nevermind, I read 2nd or 3rd weekend of October as the weekend of the 2nd and 3rd. Even less crowded!

Re: Disneyland Busy this time of year? October?
I just realized that is Columbus Day Weekend. Do you think it will be really busy and maybe wait till the next weekend? (but the next weekend is the Orange County Auto Show) Or should I just push it another weekend!
Seems like a tough decision! Need help with a decision!

Been doing this for 3 years now with annual passes and by far the crowdest its ever been was when it was the Gay Days weekend in 2006. Very crowded. Gay Days is this weekend, so who knows.
One thing Ive learned though is that sometimes there is no rhyme or reason why things are busy, we just went a few weeks back, we added Monday to the trip thinking it would be really empty on a Monday in Sept when kids are in school...but it was decently crowded and on most of the biggies they only had 1/2 of the lines working.

Okay Thanks! That helps a little! I will probably just go next weekend then! I'll have fun either way. Just got to work the fastpasses right and you're golden
