  • [Chat] Overlays On Space Mountain?

Just to thinking of some for DL's SM(though, it might be nice for WDW,TDL, DLP and HKDL.) with the failed Rockin and the successful Ghost Galaxy Overlays, do you think DL should receive any others?(I post one overlay with ATIS as a theme.) there will be a poll for this. Post your thoughts and ideas of overlays for Space Mountain. Have Fun!

I think that it shouldn't get any, because it doesn't need them: the attraction has long lines all year. I don't mind the whole "Ghost Galaxy" think, but these overlays should be kept to one per normal attraction. If they had several, you could go in October and have Ghost Galaxy, December and have Space Mountain Xmas, and in July and have Fireworks Mountain or something (that could be an idea for Disney's America!), and never experience the ride as it is normally. Plus, Micheal Giachino's excellent score wouldn't fit any other situation.

Rather than overlays I'd like to see them make additions to the show during the regular Space Mountain, such as comets that zoom across the track just above your head as you're going fast, maybe a supernova explosion, and a couple of special-effect tunnels in homage to the "star gate" sequence in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
