[Chat] Mysterious Noises Coming from the Peoplemover Track

So I am currently at Disneyland and a few hours ago I heard peculiar electricalnoises coming from none other than the old Peoplemover tracks (specifically the exit tunnel from the BLAB side).

The inner optimist in me hopes that something new is coming...or does anyone perhaps have any information on what is going on?

I'm optomistic as well. despite not using the track they seem to keep it in good shape. i remember they touched up the paint on it a couple years ago. perhaps they are maintaining it in order to keep it usable for when the time comes.

Can you define "peculiar electrical noises" a bit better? Was it crackling, did it sound like a buzz?

Now you said Air Vent, I always hear air ventilation when in queue for BLAB. I've never questioned what it was because to me, it always sounded like an Air Vent. However, it makes me question, why would they have an Air vent in/on the people mover track? Of course, if there are imagineers there, it could be a special AC system to help keep the room cool for them

Maybe they're working on turning the people mover into the Large Hadron Colliderscope and just as you slam into the stationary car ahead of you the ride will divide by zero and you can watch the universe implode in on itself.

It's always like that. That's the central cooling system for the entire Buzz showbuilding.

Not to burst anyone's optimistic "bubble" .. but if the noise is what I think it is ............. When King Triton's fountain was put in place .. plus .. those "leaping" water tricks from one side of that walkway to the other .......... they had to place a water pump somewhere. Where do you think they stuck it? In that corner just below the Peoplemover track .. just before entering the "Buzz" building.

It was a loud sucker on trips in the past. Then it quieted down some. I think they managed to create some sound insulation. But you can still hear that pump from time to time.

But that was when it was King Triton's/Ariel meet and greet area. I have not been to the park in months .. and I don't even know if the water fountain is working.

If it is .. then chances are .. it's the water pump noises your are hearing.
