I dont know if this has happened to you but during the 50th anniversary celebration at the disneyland resort, there was a long line of people waiting to get on pirates of the caribbean and there was a family in line that I asked if the line started where they were and they all looked like I had poop on my face. I tried asking oh,,,,,,,,,,, about four more times :rant: and figured that instead of teaching myself a lessen in futility, I would ((((slaps forehead)))) ask the cast member to the right of me the very same question and she said yes thats where the line starts.

I was kinda curious what part of "is this where the line starts" did the other guest not understand? the "is this", "where the" "line starts" or all of the above?

has anything like this happened to you?

I was just curious. but you know my frustration right? I literally fealt like I was speaking a foreign language. it was like george carlin's skit where he described certain people who need special help you know? kind of a neutral zone around their heads.

no matter where you go, happiest place on earth or not, you'll run into ppl who just dont care and wont reply. or maybe they didnt understand you.
its just something to shurg off and laugh about later.

Well, not that I haven't had my share of experiences with horrible, stupid guests but in their defence, are you sure they spoke english?

I just know that when I was working in the parks I'd see people all the time that looked American but were actually Germany or from parts of Scandinavia. It's a simple mistake

Yeah. Or maybe they were from somewhere really far away, like Australia or New Zealand.

During the 50th there were long lines everywhere, but no, I have never encountered the problem you describe.
In fact, the only erudeness I encounter on a regular basis comes from Aashee, who takes great delight in tormenting all who encounter him. Beware...

I'm guessing they didn't speak English.

A couple years back I was at Tomorrowland Terrace and I went to refill my water bottle. In front of me was a family with two teenage boys. They all had blonde hair and looked like they all from middle America. One of the boys began washing his hands in the fountain which considering it is a drinking fountain is very disgusting. So I said, "You know the bathroom is over there." And pointed towards the back of the Star Trader. They gave me this look like they didn't know what I was talking about. And as I turned to walk away I heard them speaking in a Scandinavian type language. So I figured they didn't understand a word I just told them.

The point is that this family could have easily passed for any American family. Until they spoke I had no idea that they didn't speak English.
