In my experience, the past two years the park was MOBBED! Last year was rough, but two years ago the park was reportedly only a cople thousand peopel under capacity with gate closure impending.
Last year they instituted handstamps for re-enty for all guests, Premium AP holders as well.
My family has really loved attending to show support for our gay friends, but after last years mob and our witnessing near violence (the park was closed early due to a private Miley Cyrus event leaving many out of townwers furious), I think this year we'll just stay home.
You should expect big crowds! I went on the Happiest Haunt tour last night and the park was very crowded. There is a big convention in town, plus the Gay Days celebrants, the Utah escapees, the first night of the Trick or Treat party, and the usual weekend crowds.

I went to the parks last night about 5pm. It was packed! I had to park at the Anaheim convention center. Which isn't bad because it is really close to the Timon tram.
I drove all the way up Harbor from home instead of taking the freeway, because of rush hour. And I figured I'd better obey the signs, which were telling people to park at the convention center, instead of going out of my way to get to the structure and then finding out it is closed.
But remember its not just Gay Days this weekend. There is that, conventions going on, UEA people coming down from Utah...this is just a very busy weekend all the way around.
I arrived today at 2:10 pm and the Mickey and Friends structure was already closed. I ended up in Buzz Lightyear and barely made it into the parks for a 3:30 set by one of my favorite bands.
Tomorrow I'll get there early, like 9:00 am. I recommend that you do too if at all possible. Burning up your time trying to get into the parks is not my idea of fun.
I went to Disneyland today (I'm not gay though). I told my parents how the park was going to be packed due to Gay Day but they disagreed and said it wouldn't be too busy. Well, we got into Disneyland around 10:30 and it wasn't packed at all. We ate some lunch and when we were done with lunch there were HUGE mobs of people everywhere! It was craaaazy! They were all wearing red shirts too.....My mom finally accepted the fact that I was right when I said Gay Day was a huge event at Disneyland when she saw the huge mobs. Well, we will tyr to never go the first weekend of October again

My boyfriend and I ended up there on the gay days last year. It wasn't that busy I thought. We did go on like the last day so I don't know if that makes a difference.
DCA was not crowded at all, the parking was not bad when we got there at 5 PM, but Disneyland itself was very crowded until after the fireworks. Lots and lots of red shirts, but a well-behaved crowd for the most part.
I'm still recovering from my trip yesterday to DLR. My sister and I decided to make a nighttime visit to DLR to check out the new fireworks and Ghost Galaxy. We got into the park around 6:30pm and staked out a spot in front of the castle.
After the fireworks, we thought we could squeeze in a ride on GG and HM and a couple of other rides while the park started to empty after the fireworks, but instead the crowds remained. We hadn't gone on a single ride yet. In order to play it safe, we got fast passes to secure a ride on HM (at 10pm!!).
Then we decided to take the train at New Orleans station to avoid the crowd waiting around for Fantasmic. The wait turned out to be 30 minutes. By the time we got to the SM queue it was a 110 wait time and sad to say as we sprinted our way back to New Orleans around 12AM HM was already closed.
For future reference, avoid taking a short day trip to the resort during Gay Days especially at night. If rides are all you care about, arrive when the park opens when the lines are short and pick up fast passes for the major attractions.

This was the first time I have been in the parks for Gay Days weekend, can someone tell me if it usually lines up with Utah School break as well or if this was one of those weird calendar coincidences.
Glory, Glory Man United! And the Reds go marching on! On!! ON!!!
I survived my first Marathon. Got my Mickey at WDW after 6:22:08 of "fun" on the course. Not happy with the time, so I will go back and be getting Goofy next year!
