[Rumor] We may be loosing Iridessa

There's a rumor that I found from a website call Stitch Kingdom that both WDW and Disneyland maybe loosing Iridessa to have her be replace by Terence. Here is what it said from there.

While character changes are always occurring and usually at the drop of a dime, they’re never quite as prevelent as in October as the new fiscal year for the Walt Disney Company begins. Other notable changes coming soon are Terence the fairy appearing at Magic Kingdom’s Pixie Hollow (as well as Disneyland), expecting to replace Iridessa, and characters from the new Disney animated classic, The Princess and the Frog: Tiana, Naveen and Dr. Facilier.

So take this as a rumor to all of us Character lovers out there.

Maybe it's because all of Iridessa's 'friends' will become friends to Princess Tiana...?

That's still too bad, though. Especially for the people that have her as their favorite fairy!

I don't see why we have to lose one fairy to gain another. It also looks "bad" that the fairy getting the shaft is the fairy of colour. I think they could stand to just hire a couple of more friends so that both Iridessa AND Tiana can hang out in the parks.

Although it is weird to lose one of the faries when the rest are still around.

Yeah I know I would of though Disney would had kept her cause of her color. But who know I could be wrong but to me from hearing from little kids around they really like beside Tink is Rosetta, Fawn, and Silvermist the most and I have hear some like Vidia alot to. So maybe that's why they may be letting Iridessa go. Or to be come a rare character in the future.

I am still trying to figure out what "loosing" means.....I picture a gang of wild kids going around a dockyard partially untying all the boats

I don't see anything racial in what they said. It was my first thought too. In all the pictures I have seen of the girls who play Iridessa, not a single one couldn't play Tiana as well. Very similar looking characters...

Who knows this may be for a limit time only too. Cause isn't Tiana only here for a short time. I think I seen on the Disneyland web site that she be out from Nov. 6th tell sometime in Jan. so Iridessa may be back at Pixie Hollow after Jan. if they do it that way. But yeah I don't see why Disney can't have both Iridessa and Tiana out on the same time and day. They can hire more black people to do both.

still no. Disney uses the term "friends" to mean the people who play the characters. Keep the magic intact. So if you play Ariel, you are a "friend of Ariel"

In this case they are suggesting that the "friends of Iridessa" *girls who play her* might be moved to being friends of Tiana *moved to play Tiana*

I thought you had been around long enough to know a bit of the slang that Disney uses. I really thought "friends of _____" was pretty common...

in no way whatsoever was I meaning that as racist. I meant, Disney could be literally trading the actresses (aka "friends of _____", as someone else explained [...thank you by the way...] ) who play Iridessa out to play Tiana. Good grief...

Plus, how on Earth is it implied "in the meaning of 'friends'"??? That accusation baffles me...

That is too bad that any have to go. I think Disney should have even more characters around than they have.

I am sure Disney is ready to market the Princess and the Frog like crazy. I would be really surprised if they weren't replacing Iridessa so she can play Tiana. But I wasalso thinking aren't they going to re-season the Pixie Hollow. Maybe they want another Fairy to go with another season.

On a side note it would be pretty cool if DL rotated out the fairies based on the season. Of course we'd always have Tink but others could be rotated out. I would love to see different ones.
