I have it on good authority that POD is officially over A friend's husband works in the current parade and said they've started tearing down the POD floats. Such a sad day!!!! When will Disney bring back a magical parade again with magical character and magical music?! RIP POD, RIP

I unfortunately never had the chance to see POD. Perhaps I'll head to youtubeand see how the parade was.

I gave up hope for it's return long ago and just excepted what we have, but this is still sad news. We can only hope DL's entertainment will only get better from here on.

With the rumor of the new parade next year, Celebrate being continued and the Christmas Parade around the corner. It makes sense for them to finally begin the process. Also, I have heard rumor of possible seeing some of the POD floats in other parades.

I think the only floats that they might be taking down would be the Main Street Train Station Float and the Sleeping Beauty Castle Float(this is only a guess. Because, if this parade was going to the other disney parks, the first float and the last float would have to be changed.)

I heard a rumor about the Princess float (Sleeping Beauty Castle float) being used possible for something else at DL.

The "Wonder" parade rumored to come for the 55'th is supposed to be on the same caliber as POD was. Some have even said better.

it would make my day/life to have a new parade. while celebrate is fun when you're there...it is by no means magical. wdw did a great thing by having the street party in the hub twice a day and still having a nice disney-esque parade once a day. celebrate a dream come true still has the disney magic. DL should take that into consideration.

Not exactly. The new promotion for 2010 revolves around the community service angle. You volunteer for a day & then after everything is confirmed by Disney, you get a voucher for a free 1 day/1 park admission.

According to an update Al did awhile back, WDW again decided to be el cheapo and scrapped that idea.

We haven't heard a single thing about a new parade for next year in a long time. Is it even happening? I love Celebrate, but it's just not a parade.

Sad day. I remember hearing in June that TDA was deciding what to do next and sadly, their decision was not what I had hoped for...



I'm kind of mad too, actually, which is unusual because I'm generally content with the choices Disney makes. But the only high caliber parade running right now is Pixar Play Parade, and if was Al Lutz wrote turns out to be ultimately true, it's going to stay that way next year while Celebrate drags on.

So that would mean no actual parade in Disneyland over the span of at least two years. Ok. I can understand making Celebrate run a year. But two years? I think it's a good show but not as good as what was supposed to come after it, which was supposedly the Worlds of Wonder Parade. But I haven't heard anything about that in ages. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't ever again.
