  • [Question] World of Color viewing from hotel

Which hotel do you think will have the best view of World of Color? Grand Californian or Paradise Pier?

We're planning a trip down there in spring to see it but my husband has terminal cancer and may not be able to make it into the park.

We're going to take the train down from Oregon in a bedroom/berth and stay for two nights so we can have all the family in Orange County come see him. It's mostly about the train trip and family, but he loves Disneyland and he'd like to see it one last time so I'd like him to be able to see as much fun as possible from our room.

Not so fast. If you are one of those bazillionaires who just forked out the dough for the Grand California Villas, they've got those nice new Balconies perched just beyond Mullholland Madness. THOSE are the seats to have for the show.

Not that too many of us will ever see the inside of one of those rooms...

But I would think that the Paradise Pier would offer great views as well.

By the way...prayers and best wishes for your husband, Empico. I hope you have a GREAT time and enjoy every moment on that trip!

We're going to be able to stay at the Grand Californian Villas via RCI. I'm super excited! Although, we may NEVER be able to actually get a reservation.

The DVC Villas also have a viewing platform for WOC at the GCH. However, it's unclear how strict the policy will be.

The Paradise Pier looks like a bit better view!

The DVC wings definitely have the best view, it is almost like a postcard picture view of Paradise Pier from your balcony.

Paradise Pier hotel is kind of on the side, so if you don't mind not seeing the mist screen footage, that would be decent.

The windows that you see in this shot are probably what you would be limited to. It didn't occur to me that the rest of the GCH is blocked off now behind those trees. So...it's either DVC or the Paradise.
