That's what they want you to think. The real story is there will be so much rain in the next two days they won't be able to drain it out fast enough!
Seriously, it's always great to see progress, and I hope to see that lagoon again as well. Nice bonus that they will probably not have to spend as much money because of all the free rainfall!
I don't think we will get that much rain, unfortunately.
Does anyone know why it takes 3 WEEKS to fill it up? That sure seems like an awfully long time...
Maybe it has to do with the Imagineers wanting to see how the lagoon will take water with all this new equipment in it... You don't want 100's of thousands of gallons of watering pouring into a space when you're not sure what will come of it.
I'm not so sure if that made sense, but it did in my head and thats all that matters

Also I think they will still be workng on the lagoon as the bay fills up. I mean they just put up scafolding around the future SSS and it's higher up and a lot more work needs to be done around the edge of the bay.
I've heard it wont be filled up until it's full water line for another month or so, and that the water in the lagoon would also be clear for the next few months so it's easier for them to test the equipment, look for air leaks etc.
So I don't think there will be any blue dye in the lagoon for a while until all the kinks (if any) are worked out.
Outstanding news. I've been looking forward to this for quite a while now, and I'll be down there with my camera soon. Can't wait for all of those refurb walls to come down as well, although that may be a few more months yet.

I HAVE TO AGREE!! I want those walls to come down. I can't wait to see your pics!
Crap, my school firewall has tunyurl blocked! I'll have to wait til I get home to see the article.
BTW, if anyone knows how to hack a school firewall, PM me...
heres the article:
"Finally, we can say goodbye to looking at all that construction in Paradise Pier...
That's right. This week (today, actually) you're going to see a steady stream of liquid that used to be known as water inside that big concrete pit that we've all come to loath, err, I mean love. Yeah, I meant love.
Seriously though, it'll take a little less than three weeks, but come early November most people that come into the park will see an actual bay where all those nozzles, bars and tubes now lay. Of course, it'll really be nice when we're able to finally walk along that swanky new play area around it.
But it'll be the end of the year (Dec/Jan) before you'll get that chance..."
