Re: RAIny Days at DIsneyLanD
I've only had great times at Disneyland on rainy days, some of the very best times in fact. I'll avoid some attractions, but the empty park is always a pleasure. Likewise on a sunny fairly crowded day, it is really a trip to see tens of thousands of people go running for the exits the minute the first drops start to fall. Best of all are cold, foggy, rainy days when the CMs actually stand at the entrances and boarding areas almost begging you to board.First Visit at the age of 12, July 17, 1968.First Ride, The Disneyland and Santa Fe Railroad.BRING BACK THE PEOPLE MOVER!

Re: Rainy Days at Disneyland
I love rainy days at the park! I just need to bring like WAY more clothes haha. Last time we went when it was raining it was one crazy STORM! It was so fun but, I'm glad we stayed at the DLH because we spent more time in the hotel then normal because allot of the rides had closed. We felt like we were the only people there though.
Oh this picture was around 3-4pm so slow!
So rainy!

Re: Rainy Days at Disneyland
Love rainy days! I was there yesterday and was kinda hoping it would rain a little to send some people home. But it was nice and cloudy, very cool weather. Last March it rained for 20 min my hubby, little boy and I went under cover and got some ice cream at the parlor. When the rain stopped the park was so great..probably half the guests left. We got on several rides in less than 10 min.
I also fondly remember going to Disneyland with my cousin during Spring Break when it poured...I was in Jr High (long ago). We bought rain covers (not sure the name) and ran from ride to ride...no lines! That was the best!

Re: Rainy Days at Disneyland
I guess I get to find out tomorrow. I am flying out for the day to get my Birthday Fun Card. I think I'm going to run by Walmart tonight to get a poncho, and I'll throw some extra clothes in a bag to change at the airport coming home.
I have done WDW in the rain. My hubby and I were at Magic Kingdom in a torrential downpour (inches of water on Main Street) in December. Most people with kids left. We decided to stay since we were wet already and walked on to everything. It was great.

Re: Rainy Days at Disneyland
I remember being at WDW years back when a sudden (well, at least to us) rainstorm hit. Just as fast as guests scurried to find cover, there were CM's popping out of the woodwork with carts selling Mickey umbrellas and rain ponchos. I was amazed at how fast they reacted (and didn't miss a chance to make a few bucks!)

Re: Rainy Days at Disneyland
A few years ago I remember going during the week (curse this full time job!) and it was raining and amazing. I am kind of glad most people don't want to go when it rains, if I had a more open schedule I'd opt to pop down there on days like this.
