[Question] DCA - WOC Debut dates

I read on MiceAge where the WOC debut date is April 24, 2010.

Everywhere else, it says March 2010.

Is the 24th of April the more accurate date?

I'm desperately trying to pin this down as we're planning a trip around the opening date.

Any advice will be appreciated.

I am always in favor of believing the later dates. For the realistic aspect that anything can go wrong/ things may need to be changed. And also for my own personal satisfaction. If I get my hopes up that something may finish early, and it doesn't... it's frustrating. So I'm gonna buy the April date over March just for my own personal choice. Sorry that i cant provide any concrete facts.

Especially if you have a dragon for Fantasmic! that didn't work all summer long...

I think April would be a more accurate date, because given what happend with the new dragon in Fantasmic!, yeah.

Just don't go during opening day, you'll just make there be unnessesary stress! And this show is going to run on the showpass system so if you wanna get a good spot, your gonna have to be waiting in long lines all day, and for what? To be the first to see a show?(which you won't be, CMs get to see it first) I would just go in the summer. It'd still be a headache but not as much as debuting day is going to be.

Whenever the show premieres I'm sure it'll be a nightmare trying to get in. It's going to be a huge show, no doubt.

I've seen the Bellagio fountains...just imagining that with Disney gives me the chills. This will go down as the greatest Disney show in the world.

I'm planning a trip for my daughter's birthday (April 21) I hope it opens in March. When we were there April of this year, they were working on it, so she is hoping to see it!

ANY date quoted at this time is at best a guess-timate.

Sure, it might be a date to shoot for, but ANYTHING can happen in the mean-time. As an example, pick ANY past subject you want: Monorail, Fantasmic, Parades, etc... Add in unforseen delays, the weather, strikes, budget issues, etc... Nothing is sacred.

I wouldn't recommend planning any trips solely on the hunches and rumors of a few individuals. Especially if folks are traveling from afar...

We'll make our plans to see the new show when it is officially announced and even then, we'll still keep our fingers crossed. Hey, we'll be at the Park anyway...

Thankfully, we have the luxury of being able to change our plans at the spur of the moment.

Sadly, that is not the case for quite a few folks that can't wait for the show to begin...

I wouldn't recommend planning any trips solely on the hunches and rumors of a few individuals. Especially if folks are traveling from afar...

We're not planning on going specifically to see the show, we'll be taking a trip out anyway. It would just suck if the grand opening happened to be during our visit, making it a major pain to deal with, and neigh impossible to see.

Never ever pin down a trip for an opening date unless you are a local. You will just be upset when you arrive and find out that things are running late (which they usually are) and don't meet the expected deadline.
