Re: Indy "Don't pull the rope" gag missing
Hmm, thats weird... maybe it snapped or they are adding some new things to it. People pull on the rope all day so I would guess the mechanism holding it and pulling it would break or need repairs.
Re: Indy "Don't pull the rope" gag missing
Just routine repairs most likely. Give it a few weeks at most and it'll be back. Bamboo pole, goat on BTMRR, key-dog on PotC, etc... all of them disappear from time to time for work and repairs.

I believe it was removed for maintenance during the short refurb where they programmed the jeeps and installed the new Indiana Jones Audio-Animatronic.

And it takes time for it to reset. If you see it get tripped right ahead of you, it won't work for you. I think it's about 30-45 seconds before someone can trip it again.

In the beg. of Sept it didn't work.
and we gave it a run for it's money too.
And yes, we gave it time to reset.

To that end I'd like the Internet community to join me in reminding the Disney company that "it all started with Walt." As you can see below we've created some T-shirts, plus a few simple graphics that you can copy and paste into your websites to let folks know how you feel.

^ Same. It wasn't working for a while before the four day refurb. Then I guess they fixed the sound, because it works now, but the roof doesn't move down anymore. Maybe someone in the room was too tall and set of a sensor or something?
Re: Indy "Don't pull the rope" gag missing
Can anyone distinguish what they are saying when you pull on the rope? I never get a chance to stop and listen to what they are saying because usually people are following behind me.

"Don't pull on the rope, old chap, I've a frightfully valuable artifact down here. [crash, tinkle tinkle] Oh dear...I had a frightfully valuable artifact down here." Stuff to that effect.

Sorry, I was just talking about last weekend, right after the refurb. I always see a lot of guests trying to get it to work again right away, then they call it broken when it doesn't.

There are numerous sounds. I think there is glass smashing, something falling etc..
Aw, heck. I wasn't originally going to, but why not? Let's type up the whole list.
Careful! [indistinct] an artifact down here. Now..."Fifty years of sorrow...shall befall the destroyer of this, ah, vessel." [vessel shatters] Oh, no...
Blast it all, don't pull the rope. You don't want to break the - ah - [crash] Oh, dear.
I say, stop mucking about up there! Oh, blast. Not again! Aaahhhhhhhhh! [thump]
Leave off the rope, old chap. Be a good fellow, I've a frightfully valuable artifact down here. [artifact shatter] Oh, no...I had a frightfully valuable artifact down here.
I say, leave off the rope, old chap! Be a jolly good sport there. Uh oh, oh no, oh, blimey, aagghhhh! [thump]

Wow, I never noticed those lines! They always sound so muffled, and there's always a lot of noise around that area, thanks for that list! I'll have to pay more attention to what they say when it's working again.
