Growing up I never had the chance to go to DL. When I asked my wife where she wanted to go for our honeymoon and she said DL and i was shocked. To me that did not seem appealing at all. After 5 years of marriage and 6 trip to DL all I want to do is plan our next trip. At this point we are 51 weeks away and I can wait.

Re: When was your first time?
I was 11 the first time i was there. and unless anyone want's an epically detailed description of my first trip to Disneyland I'll just leave it at that. I'd rather not spout out a passing blurb about such a momentous occasion in my life. *sigh* it was wonderful

Re: When was your first time?
I was in utero my first trip...and apparently that was also my first ride on Space Mountain which had just opened that year (no rules regarding pregnant women riding at that time).
My husband was in high school his first trip to DL. He had always wanted to go as a child, and he said it was more amazing than he had imagined. To this day he loves it as much as I do...I married the right man

Re: When was your first time?
The first time I remember I was 6 or 7 and in a Baton Troupe. We were invited to perform for one of the parades(1986ish). I remember waiting back behind or around IASW. And I was so worried I was going to get my White Keds dirty and I really wanted them to be super clean for the parade.
I couldn't get my husband to go if I begged before we had children. Even then my husband kept saying the kids are too little. My mom is a huge Disney fan and took our immediate family for a big trip. Me and my family, my sister and her family and my other sister that is still in school. After that my husband saw how much fun my daughter had (3 1/2 at the time) We go a couple times a year now.

Re: When was your first time?
My first trip to Disneyland was on 3-18-94 (I was 5 days shy of 4 months old). My first rides were pirates, snow white, and it's a small world. My first show was the country bears. I know all of this because my parents kept a photo album filled with little notes and pictures of my first trip to Disneyland, haha!

Re: When was your first time?
My first trip was 1965 according to the date on the Kodachrome slides. I remember getting separated from my family somewhere in the area of Frontierland, almost where New Orleans Square is now. I remember the scared and sad feeling of being alone despite hundreds of strangers around me. My family found me in about 5 minutes but the picture shows I was not happy at that moment. We also have a picture of my sister on the Flying Saucers on that same trip, but I didn't go on them and I don't know why. We also have a few pictures from my other sister's birthday party there in August 1956 with several of her friends.

Re: When was your first time?
My first trip was in the summer of 1973. My parents brought my cousin along. We stayed in the DLH and took the Monorail into the park everyday. I don't remember a lot of the details, but it was a great time. I didn't visit Disneyland again until I got married 16 years later.Adults are only kids grown up, anyway - Walt Disney
