  • [Pictures] Main Street Window Displays!

Please feel free to post your own!

When I visited in November 2006, there were some really awesome window displays showing various Disney Animated Classics films. I fought the glare from the windows and blur from the moving pieces to get the best pics I could at the time, so here are some of my best ones.

Please tell me that's supposed to be a young Trixie...

Whoever dressed this window gets an A for effort!

Hooray! Thanks for the picture! I always regretted not photographing this display when we went. After all, Ariel's look of supreme constipation (coupled with an unpleasant rocking motion) has become legendary in our family. Flounder's "OMG ARE YOU OKAY!?" expression is great as well.

This one was my favorite. The scenery is nicely done and the characters genuinely resemble their animated counterparts.

Whoever dressed this window gets a gold star! Ding!

I always thought she looked deliriously happy, like she was on something, but that works too! )

I think the comment means that it is off-model.

LOL I'm glad I'm not the only weirdo who thinks that Ariel looks like she's on something in that. It's like this crazed psychotic look...paired with the rocking...oh dear. >_<

Ariel looks like a crazed lunatic.

These windows were a good idea for the 50th, but WHY on earth are they STILL around! They NEED to rotate these windows MORE frequently!!! Many new animated movies didn't get a single window on Main Street, and they use to ALL get a series of windows. This is one of the things on Main Street that IS acceptable to change, . . . . and then they don't . UGH!
Critter Country's a mess ev'r since the Country Bears were kicked out. Ya can't cover pooh with honey and 'spect people ta like it.

                    I was going to say
Haven't these been around for a long time?

                    And yes,
                    That's Todd
from Fox and the hound (Cooper in coming out of the log)

                      Re: Main Street Window Displays!

The only new window was the one promoting Pixar's eighth film, Rattotouie(I think I missed speeled that one:sweat:.) and even that needs to be updated.

Never read the window that says the models have existed since forever and have been used to promote movies since before the 50th I take it?

I'm aware that it's supposed to be Tod...but it really looks more like a young version of Trixie. Compare:

Yes, Tod's an adult in this picture, but still.

By the way, did you guys know that Mickey Rooney did the voice of Adult Tod? I read that on IMDB a few days ago and it blew my mind!

Oh, and for those of you who have never seen it, I found a picture of the Ratatouille window on flikr:

I had no idea if these were still around or not, I didn't check out the windows on my last visit. I kinda wish they'd change them now that I hear they're still the same!

I like that Ratatouille window, at least.

Also Kurt Russell did the voice of adult Copper.
