[Fun] Funny Cast Members.

Have you ever met or saw funny cast members at Disneyland before? Exception of Maynard.

On October 4th, on birthday for this year. I went to Disneyland with my friends for my birthday, they both have annual passes. We had a great time there, we were there for the whole day. We left at 7:50 am and made it to the theme park's gates at 9:00 am.

I happen to met two cast members who are pretty funny. One at the Jungle Cruise, I forget his name. He has a cool and bravado personality. He talks in a calm voice, he makes funny remarks. Like at the end, "I do hope everyone here at the Jungle Cruise has a wonderful time and as we make it to the station, please get out. I mean it. Get Out! Also remember to watch your head as you leave the boat, if you hit your head, please watch your language, there's children. Thank you."

Then at the end of my birthday trip, as we leave Disneyland at 12:30 am. We take the tram to the parking lot, there is one cast member at the last car from the tram. He talks a lot and makes funny comments for everyone riding on the tram. People laughed, it was really cold at that night and he makes fun of how enjoyable was at Disneyland at that day.

I even met Maynard. I think. He was near the Sleeping Beauty Castle in the Refreshments cart. When he saw my birthday tag, he said, "OH!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!" in a loud and funny way.

Maynard works attractions and not ODV, so it was probably someone who looked A LOT like him.

There's this one man who works Indy that I LOVE. I've seen him multiple times, but this past time was my favorite. There was this really tall man and his wife in front of us, and as we were about to enter the temple part of the queue the CM goes, "Sir, I'm going to need to check your height" and then he jumped up up with his hand to check it. I thought it was great!

And I'm friends with the singing CM in Fantasyland... She's absolutely amazing. When you get off of say Mr. Toad or Peter Pan she'll do something like, "I HOOOOPPPEE you had a good time in NEVERLAANNND". She's a sweetheart and that really is what the Disney magic is made of. Making people smile.

(Since we can't mention names or post pictures here, think of a good nickname folks )

The guy who was playing the Mad Hatter on September 24 was funny. He came over to a table next to us that had 2 people celebrating their birthdays and said a bunch of things that made them laugh so hard they were spitting out their Cokes.

During my last visit to the park the Jungle Cruise skipper used a line I'd never heard before. As we approached the rhinoceros scene, he tells the boat "Uh oh. There's my buddy Ohantas trying to climb that totem pole. Looks like the rhino's trying to POKE OHANTAS."

Not too many people seemed to get it at first, but I thought it was rather witty

(He asked me if I made my bow myself. I said "No, my woodland friends helped me." He replied "It's alright. You can call them little people. They don't mind." or something among those lines. i was trying so hard to stay in character, but it was pretty much impossible. XD)

There's a dude working over at ToT that will walk silently up behind random people in line (usually women) and just stare at them until they notice him. It's pretty funny to watch.

Whoever was playing Stitch last Saturday, during the evening for Celebrate!, was the most hilarious person I've ever encountered as a character. They were so enthusiastic and dancing with them was so funny. But, some of his particular choices in dance moves could be considered a bit inappropriate if you ask me. Bottom line, he was hilarious and my friends and I could not stop laughing the whole show.

The funny tram guy is great (assuming it's always the same funny guy, I never got a good look at him). Once, when he was giving the safety lecture, he said something like "if you drop an item, do not go after it, just raise your hand to me in the back and I will raise my hand and we can both wave goodbye to your item."

Last Saturday afternoon, pulling around the end of the M&F tram station he was humming "Yo Ho (A Pirate's Life For Me)" and as we came out of the turn he sang "Driver, your turn is clear" to the tune.

there's a heavier-set CM that works at Tower of Terror. he's so good at his role that he can pull off being hilarious and creepy at the same time. the way he carries himself and speaks just adds to his character.

last time i rode Tower of Terror i had this shirt on:


and he smiles at me creepily like he was going to kill me in my sleep but instead says.. "i can see inside of you.. and it looks like you have GUMMI BEARS in your tummy!"

I have seen that guy at TOT too!

We were at the gift shop, and I rang the souvenir hotel bell ... and he came and asked me what did I want... he had a conversation with me and my friends and we lasted a lot! he stayed in character the whole time! it totally made our night!

A few years back we were riding iasw. In one of the transition areas between rooms, a door in the wall suddenly opened and a cm stepped out just right next to our boat. She stopped, wide-eyed, and then immediately went into robot-mode, stiffly moving her arms up and down and turning her head back and forth like an animatronic. We laughed and applauded, and she took a bow as our boat rounded the corner.

I think that Jungle Cruise driver was called ***** ( I know, Fabulous name)!
We had him on our last trip and he used the "get out" line for us too!
He is the best IMO, and I hope he is there on our next trip!

We had a funny Back of the Tram person on Monday night, After telling the passengers the Angels had won, he proceeded to give standings for other sport teams. He announced that although its still pre-season, the Clippers have been mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. And for you NASCAR fans...driver your turn is clear.

I had funny-back-of-tram-guy once when we were going back to the structure after the park closed. He said that they had decided to take the tram to Las Vegas. Everyone cheered. Then he said "Unfortunately we won't get there until Monday because we'll be traveling at 14 miles per hour".

The Tower of Terror antics sound like *****. He was loading our elevator when I went last year and he was awesome. Very spooky.

When I went this year he was just checking Fastpasses, so he didn't get to be very entertaining.

(I only go to the parks once or twice a year, so I don't "know" any CMs - just proves what a great job Benny does.)
