Has the new Dragon been working consistantly? Have any Micechatter's ever done the reserved seating/dessert package for Fantasmic? If so, was it worth it?

Re: Is the new Fantasmic Dragon still working?
I've seen Fantasmic several times before the new dragon came about and I love it but what I don't love is all the waiting and sitting on the hard cement and getting stepped on and walked over and all the other "fun" stuff that comes with waiting to get a good spot for the show. I just thought it would be a fun idea to spend an evening at Disneyland (we have AP's) get on Space Mountain (Ghost Galaxy) and Haunted Mansion Holiday, grab a big ol' crunchy corn dog and end the evening with a a reserved seat at Fantasmic with a "dessert box" (whatever that is) and drink! What'd ya think?
I'll post how the expierence goes if we decided to go with the package!

Yup, it's working great! It has fire, too, every time I've seen itHave fun! =) I've never gotten reserved seating, I love the wait. =) I'm probably just odd, but I think it's a fun experience. I waited a few days after the debut, and the anticipation really builds up.

Re: Is the new Fantasmic Dragon still working?
So just as I'm out the door I called to get a few more details on the reserved Fantasmic seating and here's what I got:
- reserved seating waterfront left of center stage (basically where you dock the rafts to TSI)
- a "snack box" with various fruit, cheese, crackers and pastry
- and a beverage
It's $59.00 per person with no AP discounts.
Unfortunately these details have changed my mind about getting the package (if you can really call it that). Mostly the fact that for that price they can't even put the seats center stage!
Welp, it looks like we'll be roughing it afterall. It seemed like a good idea at the time though right?

Re: Is the new Fantasmic Dragon still working?
Reserved seating is so worth it! At least it was for my family. We just went on Sunday. We thought it was wonderful! The seats were great (and they do have center stage seats, they just fill up quick). You want to get in line about an hour and a half early but only one person has to wait in line and that is just to choose your seats, then you can play again for a while and come back at showtime. The tray is full of awesome and the service is wonderful. If you can swing it, I would say it is more than worth it!

It's not really near the dock.I sit near the dock when I go, and that's not blocked. It's more toward the center, in a raised section, while the dock is on the side. It looks like good seats, but they do seem pricey. It saves hours of wait, though

Re: Is the new Fantasmic Dragon still working?
It's not worth it. The seat are to the side and the food they give you, while tasty, is not worth the price. When it was up on the balcony and you had an all you can eat desert buffet, then it was a great deal and a great experience. But for the same price to be sitting amongst all the other peons with a box of cheese, forget about it. If you don't want to wait see the second show of the night. If you get there a half an hour there will be plenty of free seats and the 30 minutes will go by quick. Then you can use the $59 to buy me something nice since I saved you the hassle.
