[Question] wheres the best spot to watch fantasmic??

my family and i are going to see this for the first time. is there any spots that are better then others?? we were thinking about maybe eating at the restaurant by tarzans tree house and indiana jones and watch it at the same time. is that a good idea? we have a 6 year old with us and its important that he would be able to see. thanks for anything and everything! =]

My favorite spot is on the bridge above the entrance to Pirates. Although, I hardly ever watch the show from this spot because it usually requires getting there more than an hour early for the 9:00 show.

You could also try the 10:30 show which will likely require less time standing around.

Depending on how important Fantasmic is to you, here is my suggestion. Plan a late dinner at The Hungry Bear restaurant. From there, hang out in Critter Country (that would be a great time for Splash Mountain and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh). Stay in the Critter Country area until after the 9:00 show ends, and probably through the fireworks as well. Around 9:45 p.m., make your way back to the River's of America. The side of the river closest to you should be emptying out, allowing you to squeeze in at the river's edge very near to center stage for the 10:30 show. From there your little boy should be able to see the show perfectly. All the action will be right in front of him.
I know that sounds like a lot of work, and that might be kind of late to stay up for a young child. If you do plan to go to the 9:00 show, the only advice I can really give is to get your spots early. Anywhere along the river has a decent view, but the closest views to center offer the best "show".
And of course, there is the Priority Seating. Expensive, but you would be guaranteed a great view.

we usually pick the middle of the of the stage (so yes, you'd be sitting on cobble stone..bring blankets to cushion)
I don't suggest sitting right in front (first row..basically the gate), try to (have to use imagination on this) be at least in the 3/4th row (if trying to film, you'll get the railing of the gate in the middle of your footage).
We arrive around 5:30-6p. Once they rope the area off, we use the time to nap, then wake up, eat dinner (you'll need a runner) and then watch the show. I know some like to have one sit and hold the area while everyone goes off and does rides.
Maybe one or two leave, but keep most of your party there.
If you don't hold down your area, some ppl will try to take as much space as they can leaving now room for your group.
Also beware of those who feel it's not rude to come in last minute and try to fit 10 people into a small area that fits only two. They will also give you the look of poor us (yeah, poor them...they rode rides while you sat there on hard cobblestone), there's not enough room for our group of 15 or they will just sit on your blankets. If they really wanted to see the show in a good spot, they would have done what you did. Gotten there early and planned the their day properly.

My plan of attack is the eat dinner at the Bengal Tiger in Adventureland after riding Iniana Jones (using a Fastpass.) Then from there around 7 head to the viewing area. I sit directly in front of the stage with an absolutely clear shot view to the show. Its on a brick wall that comes to about waist height right next to the biggest lighting tower and control panel. I like it because I can sit on the wall and in the planter kinda and watch the show with almost no obstructions. If you want more info let me know.

they don't tell you to get off the wall?
(since that area is a walking area....if I'm thinking of the correct area)
