Man It would be sweet if Google got permission to take this around the DLR. They already have Legoland so why not Disneyland!

Keep up the votes people! The tour I just took around Legoland was great! Having a Street View of Disneyland would ROCK!

On a side note did anyone else notice that everyone's face has been obscured in the park? Maybe this was part of the agreement to let the trike through?

I'm still waiting for Disneyland 3-D buildings, which they have for the entire resorts at WDW and DLP. So far, the only 3-D buildings at Disneyland are the Disneyland Hotel towers, the Soarin' showbuilding, and the monorail track. C'mon, DLR, get with the 21st century!

I'm still waiting for Disneyland 3-D buildings, which they have for the entire resorts at WDW and DLP. So far, the only 3-D buildings at Disneyland are the Disneyland Hotel towers, the Soarin' showbuilding, and the monorail track. C'mon, DLR, get with the 21st century!

Just a hunch of mine but with all the construction going on at the DLR they may be holding off on the 3d till it's done. I'm surprised that more individuals haven't uploaded their own models of the park. (Hint Hint Data, time to add Google SketchUp to your list of modeling programs).

If you check it out at Legoland... I about died laughing. Go to the 3D theater and look at the billboard for the two shows they play. They actually blurred the face of the main character of Racers 4D like they do for passersby!!!

Haha, I'm afraid I actually did try that at one point. Unfortunately, I just find SketchUp to be a little unwieldy, and it'd be a lot of work to completely redo the entire model. I'm sure Disney will get their official version (i.e. the one castrated of all backstage detail ) up sooner or later, anyway.

Maybe it's software doing it then. I had this image in my head of a small, dank room full of interns with versions of Photoshop neutered down to only the blur tool going through all the photos!

Yeah SketchUp is pretty funky. I tried to model my house and gave up after much cussing.

Who knows though, maybe someday a Google Earth 10.0 will exist and you can just straight upload what you've made so far in super high-res, probably about the same time we have OC-48 connections to our houses.

Why not? If Disneyland Paris can have it then I bet we can too. Plus Disney already made a complete 3D model of WDW exclusively for Google Earth so we know they see the value of virtual sight seeing.

I took a look at the paris disneyland street view and i have to say that im much happier with our version of adventure land and tomorrow land. That Discovery land aesthetic is really not my bag. seeing the entrance to Discovery land i realized where they got that terrible idea for the astro orbiters "crater" as i call it.

fantasy land looked wonderful though, and their main street feels really long.
