[Question] Phantom Manor at the New Disney Gallery?

I haven't been yet, but every time I see pics of the New Disney Gallery I keep seeing this image, however I cant tell what it is:





Is this Melanie Ravenswood from Phantom Manor?? And if it is, is it unused concept art or just a new painting?

Ive also thought it might be Belle, but it seems more Victorian-y and looks more like Melanie....but I cant tell, is her reflection the Beast, or a Creature a la Phantom Manor?

The painting in the gallery? It's new art that exists simply for the sake of new art. If you go to the Gallery site you can see a higher quality image of the painting. The Art of Disney Parks
And yes her reflection is December.

The portrait is called "April Showers" just in case anyone was curious. It's a beautiful work of art in person whether or not it's the original. Very glad that she's still being recognize even though her changing portrait has been taken out of the hallway.

A couple of years ago, Yensid, When they redid the portraits with the new lightning effect. I guess she didn't work with the new effect, so they replaced her with the Gracy pic from the WDW foyer....only he doesn't morph, he just flashes as a skeleton.

That's right, now I remember. I believe she can still be seen in the park in Le Bat en Rouge.

They did have a 35 dollar print of it available, I bought one weekend of the 10th. If they don't now, merely they all sold out sadly. It is a very nice painting.

^ It's possible Melanie's look was inspired by April/December, but as others have pointed out, this painting is not of her. Notice that DL's Mansion is in the background. This seems to be for the portion of the current exhibit that shows works that are inspired by DL classics.
