[Question] Jack skelington...face or fur character?
So after 2 full days in a row of walking around disneyland and a four hour practice, I finally understand why my doctor told me to take it easy on my knee
I still cant wait to do it again

Re: Jack skelington...face or fur character?
Wow I never actually thought about this before. He's not really a "face" character because you can't see his "real" face, but then he's not really a "furry" either.... of course not all of the "furry" characters are furry creatures either (the three pigs??)... Its to early to think about this!

Agreed. He should be a non-face character. The appeal of the character is in the design and when you make it a half breed, he no longer looks like Jack Skellington.

It'd also make interaction a lot less fun. If Jack Skellington could not speak, you might as well just not have him around, and that's no fun at all. I was pretty iffy about his head at first, but once I actually met him, I was far to excited about how amazing he was in character to worry about the way his head looks, and I'm pretty sure most little kids are the same. Once, thanks to a friend, I got to be Jack's escort off stage(Sally had left early due to a costume malfunction. And for the record, I obviously did not go backstage with them), and every single child he walked by, that knew who he was, was absolutely stunned just to see him there, there were even some teenagers that were amazed by the mere fact that Jack exists at the park.

Re: Jack skelington...face or fur character?
When I went to HKDL back in '07, they had Jack and Sally out. Despite having a similar half-and-half design, Jack never said a peep.
Maybe they were working out the kinks in the costume?
Maybe Jack's throat was getting a little hoarse?
Maybe he didn't speak English?
I don't know what the reason was, but point is, he didn't talk.
But Sally did.
If Jack was changed into a furry and Sally was left as is, then all meet n' greets with them would be like mine: awkward and slightly disappointing.
Let's face it, who wants to talk to Sally when there's Jack standing right there?!
Oh, by the way, I managed to scrounge up a picture of the two of 'em. Compare this Jack to the one in SkeletonStocking's signature and you might surprised by the number of differences you'll spot:
