Does anyone know what happened to the Dream Suite? Is it still being used? Can you still win a night there? Just curious.

I believe it's mostly used by VIP guests and such. John Lassetter has been known to stay there with his family on occasion.

I like that they're doing raffles now and rewarding the Cast Members! They're very under-appreciated sometimes. I wish they would open it up eventually for guests to see it, though, or have more contests, maybe where you can do something to show what a big Disney fan you are to win. I think a lot of times, people win contests or get experiences that they don't appreciate or deserve as much as us die-hard Disney fans do.

I recall talking to darkbeer about this at a Sunday MC meet last spring. At that time I believe he said that Disney was ultimately planning on renting it out to high rollers for special events, but couldn't yet due to arcane tax laws that would have required a hefty levy being applied for all those uses as a prize last year. As IO understand it Disney is waiting for a certain period of time to pass (was it 18 months? Maybe darkbeer will find this post and comment directly) before they start renting it out for profit.First Visit at the age of 12, July 17, 1968.First Ride, The Disneyland and Santa Fe Railroad.BRING BACK THE PEOPLE MOVER!
