I was in the park last week and I realized that I saw the #42 pop up a few times in the lines of the rides. 1st was on BLAB right before you go into the room with the AA Buzz... 42. Then exiting space at the top of the stairs...42. Then in RRCS on the door in the street of toontown....42. I didnt get pictures but I wondered if anyone has seen any more and if anyone knew what it means? Please no jokes about "Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy" my friends got me on the one.

Re: What is with the number 42?
In Alice in Wonderland, I believe the King says "Rule 42 - the Queen always wins."
I think it's just one of those things where it doesn't appear more than any other number but since you're subconsciously looking for it after noticing the first one, it seems like it's all over the place. Try looking for other numbers too and I bet you'll coincidentally find a lot of those too (unless you're looking for something with meaning, like 13, which will show up in rides like HM and ToT)

Too funny! I started a thread asking this exact same question several months back! I noticed it as well and didn't know why.

one thing mentioned there was that the number 42 was on attractions built before 1978 (when The Book was published). the explanation is that attractions get refurbed and things are added.
Hidden 42's, anyone??

Re: What is with the number 42?
Well, for Buzz I always like to pretend it's an homage to the show. Buzz's Star Cruiser is number 42.And I'd just like to mention how much I hate that map only a few steps away from the number... Those are not the planets of the Galactic Alliance! Disney already had a bunch of planets they could've used for the map, and instead they decided to make a bunch of random planets with names that you have to think about really hard to pronounce. Goodness. Sorry, it's just that I would've liked to see the map reference Buzz Lightyear of Star Command... :P i like that show. (end rant.)
I've never realized it was in other places though! I'll have to be on the lookout next time I'm in the park.
