  • [Question] When were the pavers on Main Street added?

Today the sidewalks of Main Street have pavers/bricks, but looking back to photos of Main Street in the 80's it's just cement. When were the pavers added?

I don't know when they were added but I hate the way it makes Mainstreet look like it's be renovated by someone from Home Depot.

        They're on the sidewalk.

On a side note, I thought it was interesting when I noticed that it's inverted in Hong Kong DL and Disneyland Paris. Over there they're on the street, and the sidewalks are paved.

If I remember right, it was around 1999 or 2000. It was a year or so before DCA opened, and it was a major pain to shut down big sections of the Main Entrance and Main Street. It took about six months to get it all done, and it was a real mess.

Personally, I think it looks much better that way. Ah well.
