  • [Idea] Holiday Entertainment for DCA

Well soon "The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort" will begin and the holiday entertainment will take over at Disneyland leaving DCA with very little holiday cheer. Now next year there may be a holiday version of World of Color (hopefully they use music from LuminAria) I had a couple ideas to give DCA some holiday cheer
Idea 1: Celebrate the Season at the Hyperion Theater- the Magic Kingdom castle stage show would be a nice addition to the holiday festvities, they could put up garland to disguise the Aladdin set since it's painted like a candy cane and use the carpet system to fly Santa over the audience.

Idea 2: Disney's Hollywood Christmas Parade- since the real Hollywood Christms Parade is gone a Disney version would let DCA have a Christmas parade without overstepping A Chritmas Fantasy, it would basicly just be DHS's former Hollywood Holly-Day Parade since it's in the same style as the former Hollywood Christms Parade.

i say they spend some money on a few extra snow machines and have a regular unscheduled white Christmas snowfall event in grizzley trail through out the day. They could even set up a few props and have a proper Santa picture spot in the area instead of the one in the suncourt.

I would love to see some period decorations on Paradise Pier and maybe some light show set to holiday music. Imagine all the lights, including the fun wheel going with the music.

Those are all great idea, it would be cool to see snow machines in spots around the park.

i like that idea with the snow at the grizzly thing
after all they're mountains and they usually get snow
plus they have those snow meter sticks or something

I like all these ideas. It doesn't take much to get people in the mood of the holidays. The snow machines and music though out the park is perfect. Lighting is always good.

they could do a holiday layover in Grizzly Peak. not necessarily the ride but that area could have snow. pretty soon DCA is going to have to get christmas lights in more places because it will be opened longer do to world of color!

Maybe during the holidays they could incorperate the snow into the World of Colour! Tell me what you think!

But the lights would be a needed touch because it doesn't stay open too late.

I would also love for Grizzly Peak to get into the spirit. Add some snow here and there, especially on Redwood Creek, and they could theme it to a Tahoe Ski Resort.

That would be fabulous-- but I'd definitely say to take the now homeless "Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" instead of "Celebrate the Season"- It's a higher quality show in every aspect (although it's purely Christmas centered, so not as PC as CTS I guess....) and unfortunately now that they demoed the Galaxy stage in TL, there are costumes and set pieces just itching for a new home.

How about add a Christmas overlay to the Electrical Parade as well?
