[Chat] Can't miss things to do at the parks during the Holidays?

Well now that Holloween is "mostly" over with and Disney is already setting up for the winter holidays (snow on the castle), I was wondering what are the "MUST SEE/DO" things in the parks during the Holidays?
I haven't been to Disneyland during Christmas time in about 13yrs. I have an AP this year and want to do as much as possible

Suggestions everyone?

I know there are special Holiday fireworks and a parade.... any holiday food I should try? specific decorations and activities that I must see?

I find the hot cocoa to be extra delicious during the holidays. Just the extra cold weather and decor make it more enjoyable

take the time to stroll around main street at night.

Ragtime is in Christmas music mode at the coke refreshment place.

Be sure to catch the carolers.

The castle unfolds it's lights in a very magical way. Be sure to watch that as it happens.

And of course, the soap, I mean snow fall on mainstreet is also nice.

I don't think IASW's holiday layover was around 13 years ago, so that is a definite must-see.

We love the holidays at Disneyland...
Here is a list of what I will not miss!
1. Meeting Santa (Reindeer Round-up)
2. Make Cookies with Mrs. Clause- you buy a kit and use frostings and sprinkles to decorate them. (Reindeer Round-up)
3. See the Reindeer (Reindeer Round-up)
4. Ride IASW
5. Ride HM
6. Buy a cup of hot chocolate
7. BUY A CHURRO- doesnt matter what time of year!
8. Be sure to watch the Christmas Parade- Sets the mood
9. Make your way to the front of the castle to see the fireworks, and stay put for the magical snow at DL.
10. If you are there for the candlite processional, this is great too.
11. Buy a christmas item from a store. Makes for a Disney Christmas.
12. Have fun!

Candlelight processional; the first weekend in December (the weekend after Thanksgiving weekend) is the usual time.

Everything! Christmas at DL is hands down the most magical time at the resort.

Also, make sure you all pick out a disney ornament as a family, that way every christmas you can take it out and put it on the tree and it will be a great reminder of your great trip. We love ours from a few years back.

Also, the holiday ears are really cute!

i remember the last time i went
i got these mickey ears that were red and had a white fluffy trim
kinda like a santa hat but in the shape of mickey ears!
those are still my favorite ears
