[Question] Fantasmic in December - I'm trippin', right?

So I was looking at the schedule for our trip next month and noticed something a little unsettling, Fantasmic is not on the schedule... at all.

I know the early December schedule just came out, but is there any real reason why Fantasmic SHOULDN'T be on it?

Reassure me. Please tell me it's gonna be "OK". :unsure:

They never show Fantasmic! in the winter. In fact, it was extended beyond its normal season due to you-know who.

Im pretty sure Fantasmic! is always shown during the holiday season, but the calendar is still incomplete its still missing the Jubilee which runs till Jan 3.

I saw it the day after Christmas about 5 years ago. They are showing it through November as far as I can tell. I can't imagine why they wouldn't show it at least on the weekends during the holidays.

FYI, I just called DL and they said they are "not sure" if it will be presented during the holidays, so take that for what it's worth.

I guess I'll just have to wait and see. My 3 year old son LOVES it and my 3 year old nephew is also going this time on his first DL trip. I would hate for them to not get to see it. I'm also kind of fond of it myself.

I would think that it would be showing in the few weeks before Christmas and until New Years Eve. I know for a fact that the last two years F! was shown 3 times on NYE. Not sure what they have in store for us this year though.

We are going the 11- 15th for my husbands birthday .... we are taking my Sister and her 2 kids with us. My nephew is 5 and half and has never been........ I want them to see Fantasmic.....

On another board, someone said they called twice yesterday and were told that Fantasmic! will be playing in December, it is just not on the calendar yet. She said she called 2 different times and spoke to 2 different people and got the same response.
If it is going to play, tomorrow is the 4th, and Dec 4th is the first weekend day in December, so maybe it will be added to the calendar tomorrow, as it will then be 30 days out. So we should probably find out soon if it will be showing or not.

ROA is going to be drained for some upgrades and regular maintenance during the holiday season this year

I believe the draining will not be taking place until the end of January, but it will be empty thru May for regularly scheduled maintenance (7 years since last time I think). The Tiana Jubilee is scheduled to run on the Mark Twain until January 3, so the river will not be drained before that.

Thank you very much for the information, MrToadOfToadHall. I was getting really scared our December trip would be the World of Walls (instead of the World of Disney) in both DL and DCA. I though it would be after Christmas but when it was mentioned that it would be drained during the holiday season I just about fainted!!

i have a CM friend that works as Guest Control for Fantasmic! and she said it would be ending it's run for the year sometime this month..

but reports here say that other reliable sources say it WILL be showing..

hmm.. looks like we'll just have to wait for an official announcement..

Fantasmic! will be running Friday, Saturday, Sunday through most of November and December, with peak weeks (about 5 in total) with 7 day showings.

Fantasmic! goes dark January 3, 2010 during the River refurb and returns June 2010.

It won't show on the calendar until they've finalized the attendance predictions.
