[Question] Matterhorn "Remain Seated" announcement

When did the "famous" Jack Wagner "Remain seated, please...permanecer sentados, por favor" announcement change to "Please remain seated with your seatbelt fastened...permancecer sendtados, por favor"? And why can you unfasten your seatbelt if your speak Spanish?

It changed at some point in 2005. Both announcements are Jack Wagner. the English part of the new one comes from the original downtime spiel...but then tags the Spanish from the original back on. That's the reason the Spanish is incomplete.

it is so that people will not unbuckle and try to get out at the fist section of platform. i guess them saying to remain seated with your seat belt fastened is what the park thinks will get guests to wait until the second block break of the platform to unload.

Don't know when they changed it, nor have I noticed. However, the Disney lawyers probably did it to cover themselves should some idiot take off the seatbelt, get hurt, and then sue cuz they didn't know they had to keep it off.

I noticed it changed about the same time Big Thunder's spiel changed to include "watch your children."

If you aren't watching your children, what are he odds that a prerecorded voice will convince you to watch your children?

Because of the handicap scooter we have to use, we haven't gone through that part of the ride in 5 years. Do they still have the yodeling? I really liked that!
