So, we're going to Disneyland on December 4th for one of my roommate's birthdays and I really want to make it super magical. I know Disney has the fireworks, snow, parade, and various holiday ride layovers but I'm certain that there are many small things to do or experience that usually go unnoticed throughout the day that can enhance the magical experience. If you have any favorite, secret, etc. thing to do during Christmastime at the resort, let me know! I'm sure others will find it beneficial as well.

Re: Small/secret things to do during Christmastime at DLR?
One of DIP JR's favorite things to do is to decorate a gingerbread man. This used to take place where the Celebration BBQ is now. But now that the BBQ is there I'm hoping they're not going to get rid of this.
Does anyone know where they will be having the gingerbread man decorating area this year if at all?

Definitely Make sure to stay in the HUB in front of the Castle because every night after 5pm or 5:30pm. there will be an emotional mini show in front of the castle where the castle will light up in full blanket of white light icicles and snow will fall. It makes me have goosebump every time I watch it with new people and family because of the music.
It starts every 15 to 30 min after 5:30 and continue until the fireworks start.

^ exactly what I was going to say!
That little show really caught me off guard, I was walking to Haunted Mansion Holiday and started hearing music. I wondered if that was the fireworks already and kepts going, " woah woah it's too early and why is it not packed!? " Then i heard a little boy and a sweet old lady and snow, pretty pretty snow
I agree with everyone else above me.
- Make a gingerbread man, it's not a big thing but it sure is fun!
- Watch the little castle show
- Maybe even catch the tree lighting ceremony
- Maybe watch it's a small worlds lights turn on
- Maybe watch it's a small worlds projection light show
(:Fighting just to survive but you taught me I can.

Re: Small/secret things to do during Christmastime at DLR?
Something small the wife and i do is we leave the kid with grandma for an hour after dark and go get hot coco and grab a couple of the mini candy canes from one of the coffee carts. We droop the candy canes into the hot coco and go sit at the Rivers of America and lookout onto the water and just talk about stuff.
It is the best part of the vacation (to me) and a great way to unwind and get the second wind!
Hope that helps."Here you leave Today and enter the world of Yesterday, Tomorrow and Bankruptcy!"
Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without saying, "You're making a scene!"
