So, with Mr. Lincoln returning next month. What are your predictions on how Opening day is going to turn out?

I was thinking the possibility of a line being formed outside the Opera House since the lobby would be packed.

I was also thinking they might do a re-opening ceremony for Lincoln.

What are your thoughts?

The theater will be pretty full I think on opening week. Then as the months go on, crowd turnout will dwindle. Then after a year or two of poor attendance, it will close. Just like the time before, and the time before that...

i personally never liked the ride after i had a nightmare about it
but i still respect it
and i do hope the opening day turns out well

ride, show, attraction, yeah i wasn't thinking

and yes it was a bad nightmare
but it was basically a reenactment of the assassination

and both me and lincoln died thanks to john wilkes booth

You know? I actually had a dream like that. Only it was the alteration of it.

I was with Lincoln watching the show when I saw John WIlkes coming up to us.

I promptly aimed my two shot guns at him and he said "Oh s##t!" before I shot him. LOL

Honestly, Lincoln will get a warm welcome from initial crowds and the media. But it will most likely not mean crowds and long lines.

The last big Lincoln update only saw crowds for the first couple of shows. and then larger than normal attendance for a few days.

Lincoln has been gone since before the 50th anniversary, so there may be a bit of extra pent up demand, but this is not an attraction that marketing can do much with ("Lincoln as you've seen him before, only at Disneyland' )

It will be VERY nice to have him back where he belongs, but don't expect swarms of people.

Kudos to Disneyland for bringing back an attraction that they know costs them more to run than it bring them. Doing this proves that there are still people in the Disney company who care about theme, quality, and history.

I'm looking forward to seeing Abe again, even if he does get overshadowed by Captain EO.

I don't think Lincoln is at the top of the list of scary rides, but it does have it's moments. Pooh ride is most scary, since drug use should scare people, followed by Small World, and then, of course, the only ride that dares to trap you in a room with birds directly over your head, Tiki Room.

This show was for Lincoln 200th Birthday last Feb.

And it's going be the same old show.......

I think it would been mush better adding two other
U.S.President's along
with Mr. Lincoln to make the Show more interesting!
And that what Tony B wanted in first place
(Disney mess 3rd time)........

I love to see all the U.S.President's at Disneyland ,
like the hall of President's at Walt Disney Word !

Lincoln was my mother's favourite attraction, on a trip we made to California over 20 years ago. So we are more jazzed then most people about seeing the new version, on our upcoming trip. And I always love state of the art AAs.

I'm glad they're putting something educational in. Not everything has to have speed, jerking motion or a pop-movie tie-in. Disneyland has always been a multifaceted entertainment complex. If you all you want is vertigo, adrenaline and nausea go to Magic Mountain instead.

At the end they're going to have a Captain EO AA rise out of the stage and Lincoln is going to start dancing like they did in Thriller.
