  • [Fun] Favorite deals at the DLR

In 2008 when I went to the park I was very fortunate to be there at the time they had PotC3 for sale on DVD. I did not own it yet and it was not overpriced at all. Still $19.99! So I purchased it. To my surprise when I did they gave me a cardboard like plaque with a picture of The Empress, a collectable coin, and an actual piece of the sail from the ship! I thought this was very cool! So I am just wondering what are some of the best deal you have gotten at the Disneyland Resort and what are some going on right now?

Cant say I've ever gotten that great of deal on a dvd I've purchased at Disneyland!

    Sheeeeeeeeesh....

Don't EVER BUY Disney's Cruise Line DVD, $20 bucks for very poor quality. I was extremely disappointed in that dvd... EXTREMELY. If you're ever interested order the brochure and dvd online thats way better and its FREE!!!!

A few weeks ago we were waiting in a store for a member of our group and our 1 year old grabbed a small Mickey plush toy and fell in love with it, hugging and kissing it and saying Mickey! Mickey! And even though she seriously doesn't need another toy we had to get it for her, since she was being so stinking cute! The price tag said $12.00 and although I wasn't thrilled with that price for such a small toy I decided to get it anyway. But when we brought it up to the register it was only $7 and some change. Apparently all merch that say 2009 (except xmas stuff) was on sale! We were pleasantly suprised by that little discount and so was our daughter!

We have been given special edition pins after spending at least $35 eating lunch or dinner.

There is a Disney clearance warehouse about 15 miles from the Park in Fullerton near the 91 Freeway. They have some good deals on older merchandise. I was able to get those gold 50th anniversary mouse ears for about $1.50 each.

I like the AP resort hotel offers that Disney gives out every once and awhile.

It's Downtown Disney, but the new Torilleria Joe's snack place outside (Not the inside restaurant) has a big plate of nachos that you can top with whatever you want, similar to a subway, for $5.99. Feeds 4 people! And I can't believe I'm saying this, but better than Whitewater's nachos (and cheaper)!

I think it opened a week ago.

I've posted this before. The best deal is the free park map. That map and a wee bit of imagination can transport you back to the park for a visit any time at all.

The free rope spinning lessons from Farley the Fiddler are pretty cool too.
