  • [Idea] WOC Crowds

    Hello Everyone,
I just had an idea to make less crowds for the World of Color. At Universal Studios before the Mummy's revenge opened, they fiest only let Pass Holders ride before the grand opening , this got me thinking why doesn't Disney do the same for WOC. After they are done testing everything out they could close California Adventure to people other than AP and let Annual passholders in to view. Hopefully this will lighten crowds for more people to come see WOC.

That would be a good idea but since there is around 800k passholders and the viewing capacity is 10k then it would take 80 shows for all the passholders to see it. So even if they showed it twice then it would still take 40 nights worth of showings. Unfortunately I don't think an AP preview will work this time....

Don't they always do passholder previews?

They do this with attractions, but it is kind of hard to do it with such a massive show.

They might be. They do pass holder previews with most attractions.

I'm pretty sure ShowPass will take care of crowds, but it doesn't seem like it will prove very nice to most people.

I'm hoping for Cast Member previews.

Make it a D23 event for 10K members! I'll go!

Yes! I would love that. But I have a feeling they'd prefer to show it to passholders who pay much more than us D23ers do.

Um...what about the REST of the area surrounding the pier? So Paradise Park holds 10k, but if they let in, say, 20-25k a night of AP's (hypothetically), they could do roughly 32 nights of single shows, but if doubled showings, they could hypothetically do it in 16, but this would never work, because are you just going to have another 20-25k AP's standing and waiting for the next showing? It'd be a logistical nightmare! I think they should @ least do a random Lottery system for the AP's. Have a 5 night preview session for 50,000 AP's (10,000 a night) and leave the preview @ that.

World of Color isn't a 360 show. It is designed specifically for the viewing area.
