This past weekend was a so special. I went to Disneyland on Friday to help a friend celebrate her birthday and then on Sunday went to celebrate mine. The highlight was meeting Bob Iger on Friday before a Tiana Showboat performance and my avatar is my photo with him. (I've now changed my Avatar. Scroll down to see a large photo of me and Bob Iger.)
Then on Sunday my brother Bruce (Lost Boy) my daughter and myself were watching the 4:15 PM show and we thought we saw someone who looked like John Lasseter. After the show I spoke with the show director whom I met on Friday. She said that it was; he had seen the show earlier and wanted to be a part of the guest experience along with his wife and son. I showed her the photos I took of him on the boat and she gave me her card and asked me to email them to her and she would forward them to him (which of course I've now done).
He was having so much fun!
We proceeded down to the dock where the cast and guests disembark and waited to see if we could meet him. He was so nice. He greeted everyone, shook hands, signed autographs and took photos. His wife and son waited patiently in the background so I went and chatted with them a little bit
I handed my camera to a total stranger and she took this photo. Unfortunately it blurred and my daughter and I look totally geeked out (which of course we were!)
Then my brother saw someone else standing around and said, "that's the new President of the Resort!" So he had a nice chat with him.
Of course I too wanted a photo with him.
Because Mr. Lasseter was still there I asked him if I could take another photo (I really didn't like that first one) and he was so nice about it. This will soon be my new avatar.
All of them were wishing me a Happy Birthday
I'm also throwing in a few other photos of things that happened. My daughter decided she wanted to "dress up" and wore vintage clothing both Friday and Sunday. These pictures were taken Sunday.
And I wanted a photo with Burt for my birthday
We also went over and got involved in the filming for the Christmas Special. We saw Anika Noni Rose and Cheryl Burke and Tony (Dancing with the Stars). Also some great looking vintage clothing on the girls. Here are some shots of that including one with my daughter and the extra's.
