In the fountain by Rancho del Zocalo, someone put their baby in the fountain and let them play around in it like it was a kiddy pool.

Once, during iasw holiday, the line was in the extended area alongside the motor boat lagoon. A little kid had to go to the bathroom, so they had him pee right there in the plants along the lagoon. My mom was so mad, she told a cast member, and they then pulled them aside. They pretended they couldn't speak English, and brought someone who could speak Spanish, and they said they had no idea what they were talking about. a family member in my group was a CM, however, and they believed her, and later told her they had undercovers following the family around. We got off the ride, and the family, not realizing we were the ones who told the CMs about them, then asked, in perfect, clear English where the cast members had moved the strollers, as they were moved to clear the parade route.

And that event was many years ago, but it is stil fresh in my mind! Even today, when Russ and I see some kid acting up, all we have to do is look at each other and say, "Drop her in the fountain!"

I saw an entire family of 5 (all geared out in disney clothing and hats and 3 balloons and merchandise) FROWNING as they walked away from Big Thunder Ranch. I overheard the father complaining: "The food was so expensive, the lines are too long, and the baby (who had to have been about 2 years old) can't go on any rides. This is the worst vacation ever"

It was after Labor Day...the park was as dead as a Disco Tuesday, the weather was perfect, and there were NO LINES. They were ok with buying $36 worth of ballons, but not cool with the idea of paying that much for FOOD?

There should be a sticky thread called "This Day in Disney History." The company has a long history and this would be a good way to acknowledge it. Walt was born 112 years ago; that's quite a chunk of American history and culture.

                        You want WEIRD???

Just be there for some Jungle Cruise captain's last day!

Or, for that matter, some of their "normal" trips. LIke the time there was a medical conference across the street, and a herd of the attendees more or less filled the boat that I was in. The captain commented on all of the special commemorations that the park had set up for the various specialists -- pointing them out as we reached each one -- such as protcologists (the rhino and the guys on the totem pole), ear-nose-throat (elephants) and urologists (the waterfall).

Someone needs to tell them that they don't need to buy E-tickets anymore.

And the son (who I thought MIGHT be a LITTLE mentally handicapped) started rattling off all these facts. He knew how tall certain buildings were, how tall the matterhorn is, the exact date basically every movie coming out in the next few months, and (wait for it) MURPHY!! Yeah. Which is why I didn't post this earlier. I think they might be micechatters
It does sound like maybe the kid had a mental handicap, which makes it a little less weird. I do know a kid (with some kind of mild autism maybe?) who can spout off the birth and death years of ANY film actor you can name, even down to early silent films. And I can imagine that his parents treat him somewhat like a young child even though he is a high schooler. Out of context it would make me do a double take though!

While leaving the parking structure early I saw that someone had taken out an air mattress and placed it on the cement. There they were ... sleeping next to their van. I couldn't resist and skipped the exit so I could go back and take a picture.

Nothing against breast feeding, but I did see a woman breast feeding while walking down the middle of Main Street. She had her baby in one hand with her shirt up, and pushing the stroller with the other. Personally I don't like seeing that in public, but I think it would be nicer if she at least sat down to do that ... and not breast feed while walking down the middle of Main Street.
I have no problem seeing breast feeding in public, even if not covered. Seeing someone walking while breast feeding is kind of unusual; that woman must have some skills!
