The tree is going to be fake from now on. It's not only for environmental reasons but also because a real tree could not handle all the lights installed for the snow effect plus the normal Christmas tree lights.

would you want to have the job of putting the lights in the exact same spot year after year so the match up with the compute program that runs the light show from the castle all the way down to the tree?
The fake tree (IMO) is just easier for them. Everything is already built in. Just snap into place (I know it's not that easy) and plug in and ready to go.

I am looking forward to seeing pictures of this year's tree when it takes it's place at Disneyland. It will bring back good memories of my trip to Disneyland almost a year ago. I am so glad that I went.

The decision for a fake tree was also a financial one....

The tree was supposed to go up in the park yesterday...I haven't even had a chance to ask hubby if it happened or not..I know the Mickey Floral will be changed out on Thursday

I'll be back again on Friday (providing I can shake off this flu thing). Can't WAIT for the holiday season to kick off! :clap: The Christmas loop, hot chocolate, decorations throughout the park, snow....

By the last week of October, the tree was already backstage getting some type of fire retardant sprayed all over it. From what I read before, many people thought it WAS a fake tree by the time they got done with it.

Even though it's fake, did they change up the ornaments on it? It would sure be boring if they use the same look every year.
