    [Idea] Re-Name and Re-Theme the Castles

    After reading about WDW Fantasyland makeover/expansion and the lack of princess representation (i.e.: Belle everywhere) as well as the news of Shanghai..... I thought wouldn't be great if each "Disneyland" like theme park worldwide had a different Fantasyland Castle themed to a Princess! Why should WDW and Tokyo be the only ones to have a castle different from all others? After all, these parks castles are unique in their own way to start....

    This is my list of which Fantasyland Castle should be whose;

    Disneyland, CA - Sleeping Beauty (the original should not be altered)

    Magic Kingdom, FL - Cinderella (I also think this should not be altered)

    Disneyland, Tokyo - Ariel (the basic shape is there, but major re-theming needed)

    Disneyland, Paris - Belle (from my research her castle is non-descript. The Sleeping Beauty Castle in Paris looks amazing beautiful, I don't think it looks like any others so I think it could be easily change and re-themed)

    Disneyland, Hong Kong - Snow White (also from what I could find her castle is non descript too so a few changes and this castle could re-themed easily as well)

    Disneyland, Shanghai - Mulan (no castle built yet and again no image to go off of, call in the imagineers for this one!)

    What do you think and which castle do you think should be remade, which princesses should be represented and which park should they be in?

          I like your suggestions. I also think that MK and DL shouldn't change, because they were the original.
          Ariel's castle would be gorgeous.
          The pictures I've seen of DLP's castle are beautiful, though - it would be awful to have to retheme that. But, on the other hand, since Belle is from France, I think that would be cool; like it would make her more realistic, since she's from there? I don't know.
          I have no comments on Snow White's castle at the moment. XD
          Mulan's castle for Shanghai would be cool, but I believe that it would be more of a palace than a castle.

            OMG! I was thinking exactly the same thing!

            Original Disneyland-Keep it Sleeping Beuaty's! Don't Change it!

            WDW Magic Kingdom-Leave it Cinderellas with no Changes!

            Disneland PARIS-Change color scheme of rooms to a dark red like Beasts castle and Have it Bell'es Castle. Since Belle is french after all.

            Tokyo Disneyland-Undecided.

            HKDL-Retheme to Snow Whites castle with changing some towers and adding other details.

            Shanghaie-Repunzels castle would be really cool for that park.

                Seriously, you touch Sleeping Beauty Castle and I will come after you with pitchfork and tar. Cinderella can stay I suppose, it's pretty much a given. I think Snow White deserves a castle and Belle would be a great fit in Paris. However I hate to rain on parade's here but Mulan is not a princess and she doesn't have a castle. Neither is Tinkerbell. She is a homicidal pixie. And I think we should put a pause on building a castle for Rapunzel until we see the film. I think Tiana has promise but I'd still like to see the film before we dedicate an entire center piece of a park to her.

                    Well to be fair. Walt Disney wanted the Disneyland's castle to be name Snow White Castle but Roy Disney didn't want the name cause Sleeping Beauty movie was coming out and Walt couldn't change Roy's mine so this is how we got the name Sleeping Beauty Castle. So SBC was SWC.

                        Mulan won't be in Shanghai because they dont want to replicate something that could be a few miles away.

                          Ariel's castle will have already existed in the world (both types) by the time Shanghai arrives, and so far I've heard the castle is completely original. I'm guessing Rapunzel or Belle's.

                            ORWEN: I'm glad Disneyland's castle is devoted to Sleeping Beauty because Snow White has a dark ride and that's enough for any one character or movie to be represented with. Sleeping Beauty deserves to be recognized, too. And if both the castle and the dark ride had been devoted to just one princess, you would have Snow White over-kill and Sleeping Beauty under-kill.

                                However, I disagree with you about Rapunzel; even unseen, I think that "she" will deserve a castle of her own - where she can let her hair down when she needs to... (sorry, I couldn't resist a hair pun) Remember: Aurora deseverved hers - even before her movie came out.

                                I like the idea of each Kingdom having a princess' castle all of their own; whoever decided that Paris should get a remake of Sleeping Beauty's Castle had rocks in their head; Belle & Beast's Castle seems (now) like a No-Brainer.

                                I would like to see Ariel's Castle (but other than Disney Seas in Tokyo, I can't really think of how a giant Sand Castle would work in a non-Sea themed Park), and Snow Whats-her-name is probably long overdue for hers - can I at least get a prominent tower to peek out of though?



                                Snow White's Castle (MINE! It's really MY Castle!!) gets my vote for Shanghai...

                                  Disneyland's should be Snow White Castle simply because its inspiration is German, as is Snow White, while Sleeping Beauty is French. Plus I think Snow White was the original name anyway during the planning stages.

                                      Not only is Mulan not royalty/nobility, QueenTitania, she's also not European. There are palaces in China but the layout and architectural style are totally different from a medieval European castle.
