Side note: Am I the only one who thinks these threads are dying? I mean this one had everything going for it: a starting picture that had an easy background to edit out, plenty of time, and no theme restrictions. I fear that there are only a few of us left who care about these competitions any more. That makes me sad

The holiday-overlay contest - I think that was the last one - had a LOT of entries. I think it might just widely vary.

12 seems like a lot compared to this one, but back in the day we'd get 20+ entries. I dunno,maybe I'm a whiner, but I feel like the magic is gone
